"The harder I work, the luckier I get!"
When answers didn't come from either people or books, in January of 1997, I began an online organization called submissives United for Consensual Kink (AKA sUCK) with the idea of educating myself and other new submissives in BDSM and D/s. The watch words of the group at that time were Safe, Sane, Consensual. Today I believe even more, if that's at all possible, in the SSC credo of BDSM and D/s.
After founding the group, I continued my growth in the art forms of BDSM; in the learning process I met some of the best people in the world. (Yes, and a few less desirables and less than honorable people but, heck, that's the real world!) One of my dearest friends told me way back then that I wasn't a submissive and, as ever, I had to test the waters before I knew for myself. He knew and he was right. ::kisses:: The time spent learning, educating myself, was time well spent! Learning from the bottom is the key to understanding as the Top!
For the most part, you will find BDSM and D/s real time players very helpful but be wary of what I call ::gasp:: "AOLonlineOnly" players. They may sing a good tune but have never felt, nor delivered, the sting of a flogger, the thrill of a well placed ice cube or the hot chills of a violet wand!
Should you find 'the' person to whom you wish to relinquish control, you must know what you are doing and, more important, why you are doing it. BDSM and D/s are not games for children or people with immature minds! Fantasy is wonderful but your decisions must be based on fact, not fantasy. Your choices must be from your mind as well as your heart. No one knows it all. But when your life is on the line, pet, you'd better be the wisest old owl about your wants, needs and desires in Reality, not cyberspace! You are responsible for your mind, your body and your soul.
I promise, the following segments won't be a continuation of my lecture SSC 101 but, as a Dominatrix, I will not session with wannabes. I enjoy 'want-to-be' and experienced people who are sincere in their quest for the perfect experience.
