"We're just going to go in there as if nothing's happened then we will calmly explain the situation to Scotty, okay?"
"Relax, would you I know exactly what to do." Luke assured her. Then without warning he grabbed her hand and strode into the room.
"Make way for the newly weds. Hot stuff, coming through" He yelled.
"Do you see it as your job to make my life miserable?" She whispered furiously.
"It's really more of a hobby, now smile, we're on." He whispered back giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before confronting Taggert who was looking confused and angry. It took everything she had not to hit Luke, instead she settled for digging her nails into his hand which had refused to let go of her.
"Hey there Taggert, how's it hanging?"
"Luke do you realise I've been all over this town looking for you for the last two days?" Taggert demanded, ignoring for the moment the rather stunning announcement Luke had made.
"Aww, that's kind of sweet Taggert, and to think I thought no one cared. Gotta worn you though, I'm a happily married man, plus I'm not really into that. Perhaps you should call Jax. Owww!"
"Did you say you were..."
"Married, sure did. Me and Legs here were married this morning. You know I never thought I'd marry a Cassadine but what can I say..."
"Thankfully anything else he was going to say was cut off by a curse from Scotty, who had heard everything."
"And here I thought all this time you were faking it but no one in their right mind would marry Luke."
"The lady knows a good thing when she sees it, don't you muffin?"
"I know exactly what she sees in you Luke, a get out of jail free card. What I don't get is why you're agreeing with this farce. You're making a mistake Luke, we were prepared to offer you a deal in exchange for your testimony."
"I like her deal better and it comes with perks, oww!" He gasped as the nails once again made contact.
"I don't believe you." Scott said looking at Alexis. "First you flirt with the shrink who's testifying for you, then you marry the key witness... What's next an orgy with the jury?"
Luke leapt forward to attack Scotty but was pulled back by Alexis.
"What's the matter Scott, jealous? Or are you afraid just I'll beat you in court yet again, what is that 30, 35 times.
"I'm going to see that you spend the rest of your life in prison." He threatened in what would have been a menacing voice, except that it was his. Seeing that he couldn't rattle Alexis he shifted his focus back to Luke. "What's a matter Luke, the look-a-like wasn't cutting it anymore so you had to go find a genuine nut case?"
This time Alexis did not even attempt to stop Luke instead watching calmly as he decked Scotty square on the jaw.
"I'll have you arrested for assault," Scott threatened as soon as he was able to stand up.
"You just baited him in front of a room full of witnesses." Alexis pointed out.
"I only said the truth."
"You used his wife's illness to taunt him."
"His wife, I thought you were his wife?"
"I am, I meant his former wife." Alexis replied slightly unnerved.
"Fine, whatever. Since you're not going to be any help you might as well get out of here." Scott dismissed them. As soon as they left he turned to Taggert. Find out everything you can about this so-called marriage, there's got to be a way around it.
Alexis and Luke were in the car and she suddenly noticed they were going the wrong way.
"Luke I told you I need to go to the hospital to see Kristina, Cameron said he might let me take her home."
"I know but before we go see your daughter there's someone else we need to see first."
"Who?"
"My daughter."
