Tips From the Experts

I think I can safely add this moment to my list of things I never thought I'd be doing. I am at this moment in my penthouse discussing the lives of four small rabbits. Perhaps I should explain. First let me state that Linda and Kate are full participants in this discussion.

Actually Kate is the one who started it, after telling Linda about our shopping trip last week. Thankfully she left out the part about running into Carly Corinthos. I explained the situation to her on the drive home, this time naming names. Luckily Kate is a discreet and understanding person, I know I can trust her.

Anyway back to the rabbit discussion. Linda and Kate are helping me with my research, which is also step four of my plan. I want my child to have a normal upbringing, well as normal as possible when your mother is a lawyer/princess and your father is her number one client, with good reason. Anyway to this end I've been researching Beatrix Potter, Disney movies and everything else you miss out on when your evil stepmother raises you on a Greek island. Maybe I should spend less time on the fairy tales.

I now hear someone knocking at the door, it's Maureen. She walks into the place and takes a seat without a word. I'm surprised because I'm expecting at least some comment on Johnny's presence outside my door. Kate had said something about the perks of living across the hall from a mobster and Linda asked where she could get one?

"Now I have proof that God is a man," Maureen sighed. "No female would do this to another woman twice."

"Oh my... You're having triplets?" Kate asked.

Maureen nodded slightly and continued to look rather shell shocked. Suppressing my own urge to have a panic attack I sat down beside her.

"When did you find out?"

"This afternoon, I had an ultra sound and they pointed them out to me."

"Were they able to tell the sex?" Linda asked.

"That's the best part." Maureen lowered her head as if she were dizzy.

"Not three more girls?" Kate asked trying to suppress a smile.

"Not even close, three boys. At least with girls I would have known what I was doing. Three boys, what am I going to do?"

I can't help thinking that I'm sure to have a son now, I read somewhere that baby's often come in cycles, first several boys are born around the same time, then later girls or vise versa.

"It's not that bad." Kate tries to reassure her. "Boys can be great. I should know."

"That's why you're praying for a girl this time?"

"Hey."

"Sorry I guess I'm just a little tense."

"Not a problem."

"Want a drink?" I ask Maureen.

"More than you can possibly imagine."

"I meant lemonade."

"Oh, well I guess that will have to do, for the next several months anyway."

I poured Maureen a glass and the next several minutes were spent discussing what we missed the most, mine of course was coffee. As if on cue, at the mention of the word coffee there was a knock at the door. I know its Sonny because he uses his knock, and also because he calls my name when I don't answer the door. Oh great, Sonny Corinthos is on one side of my door and three very pregnant women are on the other, this is a problem.

"Alexis?" He calls again.

"Um coming," I call back giving Linda, Kate and Maureen one last glance. They're all looking at me with varying degrees of confusion. My plan is to open the door a crack, tell him I'm busy and to come back later. My plan is useless. As soon as the door is opened Sonny comes strolling into my penthouse as though he owns the place. Okay so he does own the place but still...

"Johnny said you had company," he tells me as he walks further into the room.

"And knowing this you thought it would be a good idea to come over and bother me?"

"Do I bother you Alexis?" He asks displaying his trademark dimples. I think I can actually hear Linda sigh. Perhaps Sonny hears it too because his attention is now focused on the three women sitting in my living room.

"Hello ladies," he says his smile faltering slightly when he notices each woman is pregnant, apparently Johnny did not tell him everything. Damn, think Alexis, the man's not stupid.

"Sonny these are my clients, I'm representing them in a joint lawsuit." I tell him with as much confidence as I can muster. I'm not sure if he believes me, he's giving me one of those looks that could mean anything. Suddenly his attention is back on the other three women.

"So who are you suing?" I begin to panic only to stop dead when Kate speaks.

"Big Boy Condoms."

Who knew Sonny Corinthos was still capable of blushing? I can't decide if I want to kill Kate or hug her, but at least Sonny is making his way towards the door.

"It was nice meeting you," Sonny says in the direction of the women as he steps into the hall. "Alexis can I speak to you for a minute out here?"

"No."

"What?" Poor Sonny he seems to be in shock, perhaps this is the first time a woman has ever said this to him.

"I'm busy Sonny, I'm working. If you need to see me wait until I'm finished here or better yet make an appointment."

"An appointment?" He says the word as though he's never heard it before.

"Yes Sonny, most clients call me, ask when I am available and then we set up a time to meet."

"I know what an appointment is Alexis." He tells me obviously annoyed.

"Great then you'll have no problem making one." At this point I close my door leaving Sonny standing in the hallway and three women laughing in my living room.
