Sonny moved forward and caught Alexis in his arms before anyone had a chance to move. He moved to lay her down on the sofa while Monica began to check her over. Sonny moved out of her way, just barely.
"Is she okay, we didn't hurt Kristina, did we?" Monica turned questioningly to Sasha. "The baby, her name is Kristina." She explained.
"No, the baby is fine," Monica assured everyone. At that moment Alexis' eyes opened and she looked around the room. Then she remembered why she had passed out. Ignoring Monica's objections she sat up. Reaching out Alexis enveloped both children into her arms holding them tight. No one in the room had failed to notice the resemblance between Alexis and the young girl she was hugging. Releasing the children enough so she could look at them Alexis began to question them.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes," Sasha replied.
"You're not hurt or in trouble?"
"No."
"What on earth are you doing here?" She asked not actually yelling but clearly upset.
"This would be better discussed in private," CJ pointed out. Alexis realised her family reunion was the centre of attention.
"That would have been lovely, how did you get here?" Wondering why all she kept receiving visitors at the Quartermains.
"Mr Corinthos drove us." Sasha supplied.
"What? Since when do you get in a strangers car?" Alexis asked worriedly.
"He is not a stranger, he's your landlord, your client, your friend..."
"They made me show photo ID." Sonny added helpfully wondering how Sasha knew about him.
"You could have called, I would have picked you up." Alexis told them.
"We needed to talk to you in person before..." Sasha stopped suddenly.
"Before what? Oh no, should I be expecting a frantic phone call any minute?"
"Um, no." Sasha replied hesitantly.
"CJ?" Alexis asked knowing the boy could not lie.
"Certain people are under the assumption that we are at school right now." He told her.
"And the school is under the assumption that...?"
"We are home sick," he finished.
"I see." Reaching for her purse Alexis pulled out her cell phone.
"Who are you calling?" Sasha asked.
"One guess."
"Daddy?"
"That would be correct."
"Hello?" Mason answered.
"Mason it's me."
"Finished with your client?" He asked teasing her.
"Actually I'm at the Quartermains and you will never guess who is here with me."
"Why do I know I'm going to hate this?"
"Sasha and CJ."
"I'll be there in five minutes."
"No, Mason wait." She shouted into the phone but he had already hung up. "He's on his way." She told the children clearly not happy about the situation.
"Well, then that gives you time to explain your double life to us, Julia."
"What the hell are you talking about Edward?" Sonny demanded.
"Oh you missed all the fireworks Sonny." Skye began, grinning. "It seems Alexis Davis is also Julia Capwell, Mason Capwells wife."
"What?" Sonny's eyes flew to Alexis in shock.
"Don't forget the mother of his children."
This time Sonny was not the only one in shock, apparently Edward had not told anyone else that part of his discovery yet.
"Oh yes it's quite true." He assured the open mouthed crowd. "You see my investigator also provided me with pictures," he told them producing a print out of a family photo. Everyone looked at the photo, which showed Mason holding an almost three year old CJ while Julia held Sasha, just two. A young girl stood between them.
"Who is that?" Ned asked.
"That's my sister Samantha." Sasha replied.
"Three, you have three children?" Ned stuttered.
"Four." Sonny barely whispered, "you forgot Kristina."
"I can't believe you didn't tell me this," Ned continued ignoring Sonny's observation. "I mean we were almost married."
"I believe the operative word is almost."
"Mason!" Alexis turned to where he stood in the doorway.
"Daddy!" Screamed two enthusiastic voices followed by hugs and kisses.
"Hello Sweetheart, Son. Oh I missed you two so much." He told them before turning to the crowd. "I assume Alexis introduced you all to my children." He asked with bravado.
"Actually Alexis was a little busy trying to explain why she never mentioned her husband and three children to anyone in Port Charles." Edward told his displaying the same photo he had shown the others.
"I see, well I guess the secret's out." Mason sighed.
"What!" Alexis squeaked.
"Daddy, what...?"
"It's okay Alexandria, let Daddy handle this." Mason soothed his daughter before turning to Alexis. "Well, there's no point in denying it, I mean they have a photo of you and I, don't they?"
"You and I?"
"Right, you and I." He told her firmly. "Now if you don't mind I think we would benifit from a privite family meeting." He directed at the several onlookers.
"Wait a minute Capwell, Alexis has some explaining to do."
"Well, first I don't think she owes you anything Edward and as for anyone else she is clearly upset so I'm sure it can wait."
Alexis allowed herself to be led out of the house trying not look at anyone.
Several minutes later the four of them arrived at Alexis' apartment.
"Chester can you take your sister and go see if there's anything edible in the kitchen?" Mason asked.
"You just want us out of the room so you can fight." Sasha told him.
"Alexandia Grace."
"Fine, I'm going." As soon as they were out of the room Alexis turned to Mason in rage.
"What the hell did you think you were doing back there?"
"Let me explain."
"Oh by all means I can't wait to hear you explain this one but first let me remind you I am not my sister, Julia may be willing to forgive you anything, I however subscribe to no such doctrine."
