Sasha and Johnny sat on the sofa watching Passions while munching on some veggie sticks.
"Aren't you a little young for this show?" He asked.
"No, I watch it all the time with my sister. She's in love with Ethan, well she was until they recast him."
"Really, I kind of like the new one?"
"You're kidding?" She asked in disbelief.
"Well he's better than the Chad recast."
"Johnny I hate to say this but you have no taste when it comes to men."
"I guess not." He shrugged
"Do they honestly expect us to believe Antonio can't hear the conversation that's happening two feet away? It's just not logical." Sasha complained.
"You know you sound just like your aunt." Johnny said, helping himself to a carrot stick.
"Remember you promised not to tell anyone about Alexis being my aunt."
"I know my lips are sealed," he assured her as he zipped them dramatically threw the imaginary key across the room causing Sasha to giggle before once again focussing her attention.
"Johnny, why don't Alexis and Sonny admit they like each other?"
"Well they've got a lot of issues but one of their biggest problems at the moment is Carly."
"Carly? Oh, the one who yelled at him and Jason, what does she have to do with anything?"
"She's Sonny's wife." Johnny admitted sadly.
"Sonny is married to that lamia? Tell me you're joking."
"Sorry kid, I wish I were."
"Well then I guess we will have to readjust our plan."
"Wait a minute, what plan?"
"The plan to get Sonny and Alexis back together." She told him as though it should be obvious.
Alexis couldn't believe it, Sonny knew, he knew that the child she was carrying was his and yet he hadn't said anything. Perhaps he didn't know for sure but suspected. Was he waiting for her to admit it? Surely even if it was only a hunch Sonny would be demanding answers, demanding the truth as he had the day he first discovered her pregnancy. And yet he was doing none of these things, she couldn't help but wonder why and yet she couldn't bring herself to ask.
"So when did you find out about Julia?" Sonny asked hoping to refocus her attention. Alexis was only too happy to play along.
"Actually I met Mason first. It was just before I came to Port Charles. I was out on a date, and Mason was having a meeting with a New York client in the same restaurant. He naturally assumed I was Julia and when Nathan took me home he followed us."
"He didn't confront you at the restaurant?" Sonny asked knowing that he would have done so. Probably throwing the guy through window before taking Alexis home.
"No, he waited until after he saw Nathan and I enter my apartment. Two minutes later my front door flung open and Mason came charging into the room demanding explanations. He told Nathan that he was my husband which of course I denied. Then he brought out the family photos from his wallet. This convinced Nathan who left pretty quickly and left Mason and I to figure out what was going on."
"How did you convince him?"
"What?" She asked as though she didn't understand his question. In truth she was trying to avoid answering it.
"How did you convince him you weren't his wife, I mean it must have seemed unbelievable to him."
"Yeah well luckily Julia and aren't exactly identical so I was able to convince him eventually." She told him hoping he would let her leave it at that. She should have known better.
"What do you mean your not...? You showed him your birth mark?" He accused.
"I was desperate." She explained. Suddenly Sonny smiled.
"So I guess I know how to tell the two of you apart now."
"Nice try Sonny but the chances of Julia allowing you that kind of access are slim to none and your odds are worse with me."
"But I love that birthmark, and as I recall it was conveniently located right next to..."
"Sonny give it up, the birthmark is off limits both as a topic of conversation and as..."
"The object of my affection?"
"Exactly."
"Alexis open the door." Mason yelled from outside her door, then opened it before she had a chance to. He charged into the room with CJ following close behind.
"What's going on?"
"Julia was in... Mr Corinthos." Mason stopped speaking the instant he saw Sonny, worried he had already revealed too much.
"It's okay, he knows." Alexis told him.
"You told him?" He accused.
"I guessed."
"I don't have time for this, Julia's been in an accident."
Sonny saw Alexis pale and quickly eased her onto the sofa, shooting a look at Mason.
"I'm sorry Alexis, I didn't mean to scare you. Julia broke her ankle, it's a bad break and they're setting it with pins. Anyway I need to go to her so we're going to have to cut the visit short."
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Alexis asked regaining her equilibrium.
"What?"
"Well I don't think it's fair for you to show up and force her to see you, now that she doesn't have the option of walking away."
"She's hurt Alexis, she needs me." Alexis raised here eyebrows duplicating a look he had seen many times from Julia. "Okay she doesn't need me but Samantha does, she was really scared when I talked to her on the phone."
"Where is Sasha?" CJ asked noticing that his sister had not stuck her nose in yet.
"She's across the hall with Johnny." Sonny explained.
"Johnny?" Mason asked looking slightly alarmed at the thought of his daughter hanging out with some stranger.
"Yeah he's my..."
"Friend," Alexis interrupted quickly not sure how Mason would react to learning she had left his daughter alone with one of Sonny's men.
"Chester can you go tell her we're leaving?"
"Sure Dad." CJ walked across the hall and knocked at the door which was soon opened by a tall man in a suit.
"Hello, I'm looking for my sister Sasha."
"Come on in." He invited as Sasha grabbed CJ and pulled him into the room eager to gain another ally.
A few minutes later the three of them headed back across, a united front.
"Alexandria, we need to get going." Mason told his daughter.
"Daddy, I was thinking, wouldn't it make more sense for CJ and I to stay here?"
Sasha was worried about her mother but she was also certain that her father would take care of her. She also had her suspicions that within a few days her parents would be back together. Her aunt however was in desperate need of some help and she was just the right person to help her.
"What?" Mason asked wondering why his daughter was suddenly intent on staying in Port Charles.
"Well it sounds like Mom's going to be in the hospital for a few days and I'm sure you want to be with her, isn't it a little unfair to ask someone as young as Samantha to be responsible for two children?" She asked and Sonny barely stifled a giggle, add a power suit and she was Alexis' own personal mini me.
"What are you up to Alexandria?" Mason asked, knowing his daughter too well to not be suspicious.
"Also it would a little suspicious should anyone be watching, for us to leave the same day we arrived in town. If only you go we can always explain that you had a business emergency."
The four adults in the room watched her with something between admiration and fear.
"The way I see it it's our only option." At this point CJ stepped on her foot, letting her know she was pushing it a little too far.
"She does have a point Dad."
"Um would it be okay if they stayed for a couple days? My father is taking a late flight home tonight, since the ELQ deal is off." Mason explained clearly distracted by the thought of Julia being hurt.
"That would be fine." She agreed also worried about Julia. "You'll call and let us know how she is as soon as you get there?"
"Of course, um the kids didn't bring any luggage with them so..."
"Don't worry we'll work it all out." She assured him.
"Thanks," he said giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before turning to his children.
"You two be good, I'll see you in a few days."
"Bye Daddy."
It was only after Mason left that Alexis realised she only had two bedrooms in her apartment, one of which was still empty, since she hadn't set up the nursery yet.
"Shoot, I don't have enough room for you guys to stay here." Alexis told them.
"You could come back to your penthouse." Sonny told her.
"It's Jason's now."
"It'll always be your Alexis. Jason told you he would move out anytime."
"I don't think that's a good idea." Alexis said thinking there was no way on earth she was going to live across the hall from Carly again.
"It's okay aunt Alexis we worked it all out. You can put a bed in Kristina's room for me and Johnny has an extra room, CJ can stay there."
"Johnny I can't ask you to do that."
"You didn't, I offered. It's really not a problem MS Davis."
"Johnny I think it's time you called me Alexis."
"Yes, ma'am." He replied smiling as Sasha gave him a quick thumbs up, everything was going perfectly.
