Sonny watched with something that he refused to call jealousy as Alexis continued to embrace the man.
"Aren't you going to introduce us to your friend?" Sonny's voice brought Alexis back to reality and the fact that she had a room full of guests.
"Um James this is Sonny Corinthos, Ned Ashton and Jax. Guys this is James Pascal, an old friend."
"Nice to meet you," the men greeted though their tone made it clear it was anything but.
"And this is Kristina."
"Yes, we've met."
"Well we should probably get going." Jax said as he and Ned made their way to the door. Sonny stayed where he was.
"So how long have you known my sister for?" Kristina asked once Ned and Jax had left. It seemed as though Sonny's presence in the room was either being accepted or ignored.
"Since she was sixteen, we actually met on her birthday." He looked over at Alexis, still remembering how sweet she had looked that night. Shy and quiet, and utterly beautiful.
"So where did you meet?"
"At a party actually," James replied.
"Really, was it a birthday party for you?" Kristina asked her sister.
"Yes Kristina, Helena decided to throw me a big party to make up for being mean to me in the past." Alexis replied sarcastically. She regretted it instantly and softened her tone as she continued. "No I was back in Greece for a school holiday and Stefan brought me to the party. Helena was out of the country somewhere, normally she forbid Stefan to take me anywhere. Anyway we met, we danced, end of story."
"Alexis shame on you, you're leaving out the best part." James couldn't resist continuing the story, knowing Kristina would love it. "As we were dancing Alexis saw Helena enter the room. She flew out of my arms and out of the room before Helena could see her and disappeared before I could catch up with her." Kristina looked absolutely spellbound, Sonny looked sick.
"You make it sound far more romantic than it was." Alexis scolded him. "I spent the rest of the night hiding in the bushes waiting for Stefan to find me and take me home." James laughed.
"Now there's the Alexis I know and love. I was hoping to take you to dinner, catch up. That is if you haven't already eaten."
"No, that would be great."
"I thought you had a headache?" Sonny interrupted them.
"It's gone now." She told him as she walked to the door. She and James walked into the hallway with Sonny close behind.
"Um Alexis I needed to discuss some stuff with you." He told her making one last attempt to stop her from leaving as the elevator door opened.
"Sonny if you get arrested, call me. Otherwise I am officially off duty tonight." Sonny watched as the man put his arm around her to lead her into the elevator. And began to wonder just how he could get himself arrested.
