Chapter 2

"Alexis, what happened?"

"I really don't want to talk about this Sonny." Can't we discuss something else.

"Of course we can," he replied easily. "Why don't we discuss..." he paused for affect, "us".

"I changed my mind lets talk about Ned and Kristina."

Sonny laughed. "You can't avoid this forever Alexis, we need to talk."

"Sonny we've had this conversation, several times as a matter of fact." She pointed out hoping he would give it a rest. Confessing her true feeling to him was not going to help make her day any better.

"But you've never really answered my question.

"What question?"

"How do you feel about me?"

"At the moment I find you extremely annoying." She responded with exasperation.

"No I mean in general." He said hoping he could coax the truth from her.

"Sonny there is no "in general" with you. My so called feelings about you vary daily if not hourly."

Sonny was leaning forward slightly and Alexis was suddenly beginning to feel very trapped. That is until she remembered that sometimes the best defense is a good offense.

"Sonny, why are you suddenly so interested in my feelings?

"What?" There was something in her tone, perhaps its sweetness that made him nervous.

"All of a sudden you seem very interested in my feelings towards you, why is that I wonder." Alexis was beginning to enjoy this new turn in the conversation. Seeing Sonny Corinthos flustered was definitly something to behold.

"Well I...

"How do you feel about me?" Once again Sonny was taken offguard, so much so that he could only stare.

"You're the only one who gets to ask questions? That hardly seems fair, does it?" With each question she asked Alexis brought her body slightly closer to his, it was having a definite affect on his ability to think.

"Um, no... I mean..." he couldn't remember what she had asked last.

"Sonny how do you feel about me?" She asked her original question but this time it was scarcely more than a whisper.

"We're friends." He replied, hurridly, trying not to imagine what she would feel like in his arms.

"I didn't ask you to define the nature of our relationship Sonny, I asked how you feel about me." He could feel her breath on him, see the slight rise and fall of her chest, If he leaned a little more forward... She was looking right into his eyes, perhaps into his soul. He found himself unable to stop himself from confessing the truth.

"I love you."
