Alexis sat down on her sofa and tried to relax. She had gotten back seveal hours ago, Kristina had already been asleep. That was probably for the best. She had a lot of explaining to do and 3 am was definately not the time for it. Three weeks ago she had gotten the call. Within two hours she was on a plane, leaving Kristina a note to say something had come up, she was going out of town and she would call. She had called, once. Kristina was furious with her stating that she was being constantly pestered by Jax, Ned and Stefan as to Alexis' whereabouts. Even Sonny had been stopping by daily to see if there was any news. Alexis had tried to calm Kristina and told her she wold explain everything once she got back. Well now she was back and she had no idea what to tell Kristina, or anyone else for that matter.
"You're back" Kristina gasped as she bounded down the stairs and gave Alexis a quick hug. "What are you doing up it's barely 7am?" Kristina had never seen Alexis out of bed this early before.
"Actually I haven't been to sleep yet, I just got home awhile ago and I'm still wired."
"So, are you going to tell me where you've been for the last three weeks or what?" Kristina asked impatiently.
"Coffee"
"Coffee?" Kristina was thoroughly confused. Alexis on the other hand knew exactly what she was doing, it was never very hard to distract her sister at least temporarily.
"Yes coffee, I need some, you want some? I'm gonna go make some..."
"No!" Kristina shouted. "I'll make it you sit down, relax we'll talk when I get back."
Well she had bought herself a few minutes at most, eventually she would have to tell Kristina...
Alexis heard the knock at the door and wondered who on earth would be coming over this early. She opened the door and found herself staring into the eyes of a rather angry Sonny.
"Where have you been?" he demanded entering the living room and sitting down on her sofa.
"Come on in Sonny, no of course it's not too early, yes I'm fine thank you for..."
"Alexis" Sonny looked mildly amused by her ramblings knowing she was avioding his question. He decided to take a different approach. "I was worried about you," he confided softly using his dimples to their fullest potential.
"Isn't it a little early for visitors?" Kristina asked looking pointedly at Sonny as she entered the room, coffee in hand. Alexis had never been happier to have a nosey little sister.
"My sister is right it is rather early and we were actually in the middle of someting, so..." As Alexis spoke she made her way towards the door assuming that Sonny would follow but when she reached the door she turned to see Sonny still sitting quite comfortably on her sofa. Seeing that she had no other option Alexis glared at Sonny while opening her door and demanded as nicely as she could, "Sonny please get out!''
"That sounds like a great idea to me." The unmistakable Australian drawl caused Alexis to swing her head back in the dirction of her doorway. Standing at her door were Jax and Ned, both dressed to go running. Before Alexis could say a word Kristina piped up.
"Jax, Ned,I forgot we were supposed to go running this morning." She said watching with fascination the angry looks that were being exchanged by the three men.
"What a good idea, you guys have fun," Alexis said as she pushed Kristina towards Jax and Ned, practically shoving all three out the door. Perhaps things would work out after all.
"Jax and I aren't leaving until he does," Ned stated while glaring angrily at Sonny. He couldn't believe he has the first one Alexis wanted to see after getting back from her trip.
"And I'm not going anywhere." Kristina looked her sister in the eye as if to say nice try.
Sonny watched Alexis knowing she was quickly losing control of the situation. He realized she wasn't ready to talk to him yet, he just wished Jax and Ned could get the message. Perhaps he could help them along.
"It's obvious Alexis wants to talk to her sister in private so why don't we leave."
"Alexis can speak for herself, Corinthos." Jax did not want to make Alexis any more upset than she was but he also wasn't about to take orders from Sonny.
"She did speak for heself," Sonny replied lazily, "she told you to get out."
"She also told you to get out Sonny," Ned felt cmpelled to remind him.
Alexis stood there staring at the scene she no longer had any control over. Ned was seething and Jax and Sonny were about to come to blows in her living room, could things possibly get any worse? Just then she heard Kristina's surprised voice,
"Um, Alexis we have company."
Of couse we have company Alexis thought, there were three furious men standing in her living room. Suddenly Alexis realized Krisina wasn't looking at the men but rather up towards the top of her stairs. Every head in the room seemed to turn in unison until all eyes were on the figure standing at he top of Alexis' stairs. A small girl of about 10 with long brown braids and a serious expression stood staring back at them. Alexis stood staring in the same silence as the rest because she had absolutely no idea what to do next. That problem was soon taken out of her hands as the young girl fixed her eyes on Alexis and asked in a worried voice,
''Is something wrong Mom?''
