This section is all about spells. This intro page will go into detail the basics of spellwork, raising personal power, and any other information we feel it is necessary for you to know to work your magick.
Did you notice how we spelled the word "magick"? for those of you who don't know, us REAL LIFE witches spell magick differently. This is so people can tell the difference between Hollywood magic (that's the flashy stuff they put in movies to make them look good. Which reminds me, no movies on witches that I have seen are remotely accurate. The Craft was good, but again, it was flashy and unrealistic. I' say about 98% of that movie was pure bull), RPG magic (that's the spells that people use when they play Role playing games or Dungeons and Dragons), and real life magick, which is the stuff we do.
Real magick is not visible. Witches, to date, have not been able to light a candle from a distance, or lift heavy objects with the power of their mind (tho some cases of this have happened, it falls under a different category called telekinesis), or light a glowing ball of mass above their hands. Not possible. Magick comes from within and affects the within. But, just because you can't see something does not mean it isn't happening. I have cast many successful spells, and all it takes to make a spell successful is the WILL to make it happen and the BELIEF WITHOUT DOUBT that it will work. If you do not have the belief, the magick will not manifest.
On to spells. Spells are not what you read about in books or see in movies. Spells do not involve incantations in some strange language and erratic movements of the hands. Some spells involve a chant, lighting a candle, and SOME motions of the hands, but it isn't as bad as you read about. Most spells only involve a short invocation and prayer. More to come later...
