2506 Point Army by Daemonbane ELF PRINCE (110 pts.) with Hand Weapon, Heavy Armor (6 pts.), Shield (3 pts.), Blade of Darting Steel (75 pts.), Talisman of Protection (15 pts.), rides a Great Eagle (50 pts.). The Heavy Armor, Shield, and Talisman give the Prince a good armor and ward save. The Blade of Darting Steel I find useful against Greater Daemons, as well as anything with high T. As for the Great Eagle, it's fast, flies and, strong, and doesn't take up a lot of points. 259 POINTS TOTAL

MAGE (85 pts.), +1 level (40 pts.), War Crown of Saphery (20 pts.), Dispel Scroll (25 pts.). I for one like to use the Light Lore of Magic with this guy, and get spells 4, 5, and 6 if possible. Blinding Light is a very nice spell, since with half M, and WS 1, enemies will be very weak. Guardian Light is sweet, since instant rally and immunity to psychology is very nice. Healing Hand is good to use on expensive heroes who are about to die. 170 POINTS TOTAL

MAGE (85 pts.), 2 Dispel Scrolls (50 pts.). Has Lore of The Heavens. This Mage is to get more Power Dice, as well as to get rid of enemy spells. The Lore of The Heavens is mainly for the Second Sign of Amul, because re-rolls are very useful in tight situations. 135 POINTS TOTAL

10 WHITE LIONS (5x2) (15 pts. each), Champ, Standard, Musician (30 pts.), Hand Weapon, Great Axe, Heavy Armor, Lion Pelts. White Lions have the highest S of all High Elves, 6 with their weapons. This makes them good against Daemons and War Machines, which can barely be touched by the weak S 3 normal Elves. The Command units are used to beef up their strength and combat resolution. Their small numbers make them weak, but good for flanking. 180 POINTS TOTAL

2 GREAT EAGLES (Not one group) (50 pts. each). Great Eagles are good for flying across the battlefield and killing off War Machine crews and weak Mages. 100 POINTS TOTAL

15 SWORDMASTERS (5x3) (12 pts. each), Champ, Standard, Musician, (10 pts. each), Hand Weapon, Greatsword, Heavy Armor. Swordmasters have no penalty for Great Weapons, which makes them priceless. Also, their high strength makes them one of the best High Elf units. 210 POINTS TOTAL

5 ELLYRIAN REAVERS (4x2) (17 pts. each), Hand Weapon, Bow (5 pts.). Reavers are good for annoying the enemy with range weapons, then running away when they come near. Also, if they flee as a charge reaction, they instantly rally the next turn in any formation. 110 POINTS TOTAL

10 SHADOW WARRIORS (5x2) (15 pts. each), Hand Weapon, Bow, Light Armor. Shadow Warriors are useful because they are skirmishers and scouts. I like to annoy the enemy with missile fire, like the Reavers. 150 POINTS TOTAL

2 REPEATER BOLT THROWERS (Not one group) (100 pts. each) RBT are good for killing heavily armored troops and individual characters. Always fire a solvo except at characters and knights in one column. 200 POINTS TOTAL

TIRANOC CHARIOT (75 pts.), Scythed Wheels (15 pts.) Chariots are good at killing off small groups of 1 W creatures. Make sure you charge, or else you get slaughtered. Also protect from missile weapons and especially cannons. 90 POINTS TOTAL

16 LOTHERN SEAGUARD (4x4) (15 pts. each), Champ, Standard, Musician (30 pts.), Hand Weapon, Spear, Bow, Light Armor, Shield, Heavy Armor (1 pts.). Seaguard are good Infantry/Artillery because of Citizen Levy, and the fact that they are both Spearmen and Archers. I find them perfect all-purpose troops. 286 POINTS TOTAL

16 SPEARMEN (4x4) (10 pts. each), Champ, Standard, Musician (30 pts.), Hand Weapon, Spear, Light Armor, Shield, Heavy Armor (1 pts.). Spearmen are great for lots of situations, and fighting in three ranks is very nice. 206 POINTS TOTAL

11 ARCHERS (8x2) (12 pts. each) Hand Weapon, Longbow. Archers are great artillery because of Citizen Levy and BS of 4. I put them on hills so they can see the battlefield well. 132 POINTS TOTAL

9 SILVER HELMS (5x2) (19 pts. each), Champ, Standard (10 pts. each), Hand Weapon, Lance, Light Armor, Shield (2 pts.). Silver Helms are both good fast and heavy cavalry in many respects. The Elven Steeds are very fast, not to mention that with Lances and 4+ saves, Silver Helms have a powerful side. I use them mainly for flanking. 146 POINTS TOTAL
