In Analyse This, Robert De Niro gave a great performance with Billy Crystal. Although it isn't as good as Anaylse This, in Meet the Parents De Niro gives an even funnier performance. And though he's no Billy Crystal, Ben Stiller does a good job to. Stiller is the Greg, Jewish nurse who wants to propose to his girlfriend, Pam (Teri Polo), but he first has to meet her parents at Pam's sister's wedding, De Niro and Blythe Danner. Due to many extremely unfortunate mishaps involving their cat, Jinx, a leaky toilet, and a fateful volleyball spike, he soon gets out of De Niro's favor. The movie is full of scenes that are right on top of the fabled line between clever and stupid established by This Is Spinal Tap. However, it never goes over it. And with Owen Wilson shows up in an all-too-brief role as Pam's ex-fiancé, it would be a shame to miss.
