"oops...i did it again" by Britney Spears

Oops is right. On Britney Spear’s second album, “oops!...I did it again” she goes to new heights in dumbness. First off, I would like to say that it’s sad that even though the album is annoying to begin with, by far the most annoying three are “Oops!...I did it Again”, “Lucky”, and “Dear Diary”; the first two its singles, the latter the only one that actually has her writing credits (“Dear Diary” is so grotesque and moronic I burst out laughing). Second, no, I don’t own the album; it’s my sisters. Third, I don’t see what the big deal about Britney is in general. She doesn’t write the songs (which don’t have good lyrics in the first place), she doesn’t play an instrument (ditto for the background), can’t sing, and I’d go so far to say she isn’t that hot. She can dance. That’s her one and only talent. If anyone could tell me where her huge, sucessful talent lies, I would sure like them to tell me. Thirdly, at three of four points on the album it has strange conversations between Britney and her friends. Are they supposed to be funny? Cute? Sentimental? They fail at all three. Fourthly, it has to many uh’s, yeah’s, and the like to be sane. Fifthly, in the bridge of “Oops...I did it Again” Britney’s boyfriend supposedly gives her the necklace from Titanic. He says he swum down to get it for her. The album would be much better if he said he had an old friend at Paramount, don’t you think? Lastly, it has a cover of the Rolling Stone’s classic “(Can’t get no) Satisfaction”. And, true to her word, we sure can’t get no satisfaction from the song. Never do it again, Mic. On her next albums, Britney will make “Born in the U.S.A.” patriotic, “Loosing my Religion” religious, and “Bad”, well, um...bad. in conclusion, I hate Pokemon but I’d rather go through “Clockwork Orange” treatment for both movies then have to listen to the album again. Hey; at least it wouldn’t put me off Ludwig Van.

Random quote from this album

You used to say that I was special,
Everything was right
But now you think I'm wearing too much make-up
And my dress is too tight
You've got no reasons to be jealous
I've never been untrue
So what's it really matter if I look
And I'm only looking at you?
