Freshmen take this course. Primarily, this course deals with habitats in our world and the organisms that live there. Several different species of animals are identified, from birds to rodents to other larger mammals like raccoons. The different foods that they eat and their niches in the habitats are taught. Identification tests of the animals are taken. The different layers of the forest are also covered. In essence, the Natural Resources course overall covers the world around us.
