Passed away 6/1/11

Hannah Banana passed away June 1st, 2011

Sweet one, may you run with Tasha and all the dogs who have gone to heaven.  You were my best friend.  It will be hard not to look for you by my side....you were always with me wherever I went.  Memories of doing agility, obedience, car rides, beach runs, demos, etc..will be with me forever.  Thank you Hannah Banana, you opened my world!  I love you!

They come to us from God.  We never know why they are with us.  God always has a plan and sends those who he feels would be best for us.  When they come into our lives they impact each one of us in some way.

*****

Hannah Banana, when I held you for the first time you were such a BIG baby who had a HUGE voice box.  Holding you for the first time I felt there was something special about you.  You just touched my heart and soul.  I looked into your eyes and it said so much even though no words came out.  I knew you were meant for me.  I kept you of all the puppies that were born.  And boy, was I glad!  You had such a deep presence in my life!  You were sent to me to teach me many things.  You helped keep order among chaos, you uplifted my heart when I felt down, you knew when something was wrong and made sure I was aware of it.  You won ribbons and pleased me in every way.  People who met you felt your presence.  Even if you were born BIG you were a small dog with a HUGE heart!  You made me laugh every day with your antics.  You followed me everywhere like a shadow.  Your devotion was immense! God gave you to me for many good reasons and I learned from you what I needed.  The time came too soon for you to leave me.  I held you in my arms for the last time, looked into your eyes and told you over and over how much I loved you.  I cannot believe you have now left this earth.  Fourteen years is just too soon.  I still look for you forgetting that you are no longer here.  I call you forgetting you are just a soul now.  Thank you for being a part of my life.  You came for a reason and now left leaving me with life's lessons.  Thank you Hannah Banana, may you run free...I will see you again one day.

*****

A soul comes into our life to teach us something new.  Every creature touches our heart for different reasons.  We must open our heart and mind and listen to what is being said.  We must love those who walk with us.  As hard as it is when we love someone so much we have to learn to let go.  God only let these souls come to us for a short period for a reason.  It is up to us to listen, love, learn and let go.  Life must go on.... we cannot grieve forever.  We must take what we have learned from each soul and apply it in our life.  After all....these souls came to help us not hinder us.  If we fail to keep going we failed the soul who came into our life.  Yes, grieving for a short period is ok, but pull yourself out of the ditch and move on.  Memories of the wonderful times should enrich your heart and make you stronger for the next soul.  Help others as those who have helped you.  Many souls have come into my life (2 legged and 4 legged) and each one had something new to offer.  As much as my heart yearns to have them all back again to hug and laugh with, I take their memories and lessons and keep going.  Be grateful for all God has given to you.. That is his present to us.

Only fools can let cute, smart and special dog go!

A Harley and Kelsey daughter who is really a clown.  Every new thing that she learns she manages to make it a funny deal.  For instance, learning the downs, she would do it just perfectly until I showed her off to my friends.  It was there and then that she would decide to do the roll over and play dead with all of her four paws sticking up in the air.  Were her eyes closed?  NO!  but I could swear that she was grinning from ear to ear while upside down!  Next funny incident that sent me rolling on the ground was when she managed to engulf her entire head in a muddy pond after a frog.  Pulling her head out of the mud only made her look as though she were sporting a new look for Avon which I would have called "The Corgi face mud".
