Chapter Twenty-Nine

"Brian?" She whispered into the phone.
"Lauren! Ohmigosh! Where the devil are you?" Tears filled her eyes. It had been almost three weeks since she had left Brian alone in the hospital. She cried herself to sleep every night at the thought of hurting Brian.
"Texas," she choked.
"WHAT?! What are you doin' in Texas?"
"I'm so sorry Brian. So very sorry." She sobbed.
"Lauren Faye! What the hell is wrong with you," Brian asked, his voice cracking before he could finish. He had lost Kevin and then his wife--well ex-wife, and now his was loosing his best friend.
"Brian, I'm sorrrry," she choked. "Just with Leighanne and all."
"Lauren. Leighanne died almost a month ago, I'll always hurt inside. I actually haven't left my room since then. I can't go back to my house, or our house. I'm with Nick and Courtney. I need you. I want you here with me." His voice went from sad, to an almost child like innocence within those few words, Lauren's heart began to melt.
"I'm just sorry Brian. I'm sorry." Brian felt the tears well-up in his eyes as his sobs were covered with the sound of a dial tone.

"It's been a little over three weeks since the tragic and sudden death of actor/producer Leighanne Reena Wallace, former wife of Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell. At only 36 years old she died from heart failure after a horrible car accident just outside of Atlanta Georgia. Leighanne had two children with Littrell, this information was never released to the public until this past month. All of us here at MTV wish Brian and his two children, who's name have been held for the moment, the best of luck and our prayers go out to every member of the Wallace and Littrell families.
