"Courtney!?" Nick called out once again, marching down the hall of the upper level of his home. "BABE?!" He screamed approaching his office.
"IN HERE NICKY!" Courtney called rolling the chair away from the desk.
"What are ya doin' Court?" Nick smiled sitting down in the recliner across from the desk.
"I was writing a song." Courtney smiled staring out the bay window, next to the desk, that overlooked the ocean. She sighed.
"Lemme hear!" Nick smiled raising his eyebrows questionably.
"It's not for you--it's for Brian."
"Why-y would Rok need a song?" Nick stuttered shocked. "THE Brian Thomas Littrell?"
"The one and only."
"WHY?!" Nick screeched.
"Nickolas, dear lord. He is a big boy ok? He's signed a new artist to RokRecords." Courtney grinned over at her boyfriend and made her way over to the chair.
"Who?"
"I also talked to Leigh." Courtney sat on his lap. "You better sit down." She winked up at him.
"I am. Dear....it is THAT bad?" Nick frowned. He loved Brian like a brother and Leighanne just the same. She had been a part of the Backstreet family for such a long time. It would be hard to go on without her as part of the prayers, and such before a show. It actually made Nick sad. Even though he hated Leighanne for the hell she was putting his best friend through. Nick kissed his girlfriend on her head, then placed his head in his hands
"This is really it." Brian sighed, tears stung his eyes has he held the forms tightly in his hands. "Goodbye," he whispered handing the papers over to the man in the dark gray suit.
"Ok, Mr. Littrell, the bill will be sent and your appointment to settle the assets will be in two weeks, have a great day."
Brian's fake smile twisted into an evil frown. Brian stood up and then collapsed on a nearby chair. "A great fucking day." He muttered holding his head in his shaking hands. "I just gave up my first love and my wife." Brian let the tears cascade down his cheeks as he curled himself into a ball and let his sobs bounce off the walls. Knowing that not one person could change what he had just done. He knew that the moment he had grabbed the ink pen, his life would never be the same. He never excepted it to change so drastically. No one on this earth would be ready to handle the hell he was about to be spun into. Not even the women who had crushed his heart and soul.
