"Fine, a little tired must be jetlag. Where's Leighanne and the guys?" she said as she craned her neck.
"AJ's the only one here and he got your bags, Leighanne is with AJ,"
"B-rok, my man!" Nick said as he walked out of the ramp. They high fived and hugged each other.
"Hey Frack,"
Just as they finished greeting each other, AJ came with Brooke and Leighanne pushing a cart full of their bags. "God! 12 bags? You guys only
went to Paris!" AJ said unbeleivingly. Cari laughed as she hugged AJ, "Hey J, thanks for picking us up."
"Wouldn't miss my chica,"
Nick gave him a look and AJ put his hands up with a grin.
Before anything else happened, a large group of girl screamed, "OH MY GOD IT'S NICK CARTER!" withe echos of "Brian!" and "AJ!".
The guys faces paled then grabbed the girls hands, Nick and Cari, AJ and Brooke and Brian and Leighanne. "RUN!" Brian hollered
on top of his lungs.
"Where the freakin' hell is Q and Martin?" AJ said referring to their bodyguards.
No one answered him for everyone was busy running and balancing the girl and bags that each of them were holding.
All six of them dove inside the limo that was waiting at the gate. The other bodyguards were there, lounging with puzzled
looks on their faces. The guys were red faced from running, AJ was still out of breath and trying to catch his breath.
"Where...the...heck...were you?!" Brian said, also catching his breath.
The three bodyguards looked puzzled, "AJ told us to go ahead," Q answered.
Nick shoved AJ, yelling, "What? You told them to wait for us here? We nearly got killed!"
"Yeah, and you were the one asking were the freakin' hell they were!" Brian said.
AJ turned red, "Oops! Sorry,"
"Yeah, oops!" Brooke grumbled.
"Hey, I said I'm sorry,"
"Calm down Brian, just look at the bright side, at least we got away," Leighanne said, trying to soothe him.
They all noticed Cari who was really quiet. Nick nudged her, "What?"
"It's okay, you'll get used to it. That group over there was nothing, wait till you see them before and after a concert."
Nick said trying to lighten up the mood.
"Just a bit freaked out. I never had to run that fast...," Cari said giving a small smile to Nick. "I'm sure I'll get used to
it," then she stared at the window. Nick shrugged and left her alone.
"Do I really want to spend time with a guy who gets chased 24/7?" she thought sadly. "I found a great guy but he belongs
to the world..."
"GUYS! FOOD, COME AND GET IT!" Howie said on top his lungs then suddenly there came a sound, like elephants running. Brian
and Nick looked around. "Where's the food?" Brian asked then saw the bags that Kevin was holding, "Gimme!," then grabbed the
bags. Kevin rolled his eyes.
"Aren't you gonna get what I'm holding Kaos?" Howie said laughingly. Nick snatched it and went through the contents. "Where's
the quarter pounder?"
"Here," Brian said as he tossed the bag to Nick.
Kristen, Leighanne, Claudia, Amanda and Cari went downstairs giggling about something. "Finally our women comes down and
decided to keep us company." Brian said between mouthfuls of Big Mac.
"What was the sound that we heard just a minute ago, like pounding on the stairs?" Amanda said a bit puzzled.
"That was Brian the Rhino and Nick the Elephant that you heard," Kevin said wryly.
"Haha, very funny BooBoo," Nick said.
"Don't call me that!"
"Children, children, we're infront of the food," Claudia said as she plopped down beside Howie. He placed his hand at her
shoulder.
"Where's AJ?" Cari asked. As if on cue, AJ came out of the kitchen holding drinks, Nick stood up to help him.
"Here I am chica," AJ said.
"I thought I was your chica," Amanda said pretending to get angry. AJ laughed and gave her a kiss.
"Your my panda andchica," he said, nuzzling her neck.
Brian rolled his eyes.
"Aren't you guys gonna eat?" Howie asked the girls.
"We have to watch out figures, and if ever we eat, we'll eat good food, not junk food," Kristen said wryly.
"Hey, no Mickey D's bashing!" AJ said followed by "Yeahs" by Nick and Brian. The girls rolled their eyes.
"Can I ask you guys something? I really don't get it..." Cari started.
"Yeah sure so whadda ya want to ask?" Brian said.
"Why the weird nicknames, especially you and Nick?"
Leighanne answered it for Brian, "I can smoothen that down for ya, let's start with Kevin, he's nickname is Train. But we like
to call him Booboo, although he hates it. Then there's Howie," Howie smiled at Leigh, "he'e Sweet D, the name says it all.
Then AJ, his nickname is Bone, I dunno why but it suits him."
Claudia continue for Leighanne, "Then the last but no the least, Brian and Nick, better known as Frick and Frack." Cari
looked puzzled, "Why Frick and Frack?"
"Well they're best friends and practically inseperable," AJ said.
"Personalities matched too, both of them are blockheads," Kevin grumbled. Cari laughed.
"When there's a Frick," Brian started.
"There's a Frack." Nick ended. Both of them had wide grins on their faces.
Cari grinned, "You mean like when's there's a Tweedle Dum, there's a Tweedle Dee, i get it." nodding her head.
The guys and gals laughed except Nick and Brian.
Both of them looked at each other, Claudia saw this and yelled, "Cari, run!". Cari gave her a puzzled look, the other girls
pushed her out of the sofa while saying "run!"
"TICKLE TORTURE!" Nick and Brian yelled running after Cari who was already at the front lawn. They circled her, then lunged
at Cari.
Seven heads turned to look at her with surprise looks on their faces.
"I thought they were burying you by this time," AJ joked.
"So where are they?" Amanda asked looking over Cari's shoulder.
"On the ground trying to get up," she said as she plopped down on the couch.
"Oooowwww," Brian groaned as he entered the room, rubbing his head.
"You should have tied her hands first!" Nick said, rubbing his butt. "Ow,"
"What happened?" Leighanne said as she saw her boyfriend, or so she thought was her boyfriend. Brian's shirt was soiled with
grass stains and his hair had grass sticking on it. Same with Nick. Cari saw this then smirked.
"Nothing," Nick said preferring not to talk, lest to be embarrased that they were beaten by a slip of a girl.
"Yeah, nothing," Brian said.
"Nothing my ass!" Cari yelled.
AJ, Howie, Amanda, Leighanne, Kevin, Kristen and Claudia turned to look at her. Cari grinned, "I kicked their ass," she said
proudly.
They all burst out laughing except Nick and Brian who scowled and went upstairs to change their soiled shirts.
"What did ya do girl?" AJ said in between bouts of laughter.
"Remember when all of us went out after the concert? I told you guys I was a judo and karate expert, I just applied my
knowledge on those two." she said with a twinkle on her eye.
"Nobody survives the Frick and Frack Tickle Torture!" Kristen said with disbelief on her face.
"Yeah, those two did that to me last time and I think I nearly died!" Claudia said still laughing, "You have to teach me those
moves girl!"
"Sure,"
Nick and Brian went down and the group started laughing all over again.
"How you managed an elephant and a rhino is beyond me!" Kevin said. Brian and Nick scowled.
"Man, your girl's sure is fiesty Nicky Boy," AJ chuckled.
Nick sat beside Cari, "I'm sorry, i just hate being tickled. You picked the wrong girl to be your victim."
"Man, a slip of a girl sent me flying like I weighed nothing," Brian said shaking his head.
"Sorry B-rok, you should have tied me hands first,"
"Remind me that next time,"
"At least I get a massage from my girl tonight," Brian said as he kissed Leighanne.
"You should kick his butt often Cari," Leighanne said. Cari laughed.
They all quieted down and ate the food Kevin and Howie brought. After a few minutes, Kevin cleared his throat, then got
something from his pants pocket.
The guys knew what Kevin would be doing but the girls were totally clueless. Kevin wanted it that way cause if he told the
other girls, they might blab to Kristen. The guys smiled encouragingly. Kevin stood by the fireplace and said,
"Kristen, this may not be the most glamourous place to do this but this is the most perfect setting that I have ever imagined
to do this, with our family and friends. We've been through thick and thin for seven years, you stood by me when I needed
comfort and solace. You loved me when I was a Ninja turtle to the time I became a Backstreet Boy. You love me because of who
I am and not by what I do, and I am so grateful that I found someone like you. And I want to spend the rest of my life with
you by my side," he kneeled in fron of a puzzled Kristen, then opened a small box containing a seven carat diamond ring,
"Will you be my wife?"
All of the guys in the room were praying that she would say yes. The girls were sending Kristen ESP messages to say yes.
Reeling in from the shock, Kristen smiled then flung herself into Kevin, "Yes, yes, yes! I will marry you!" She kissed him and
the group suddenly let out a sigh of relief, then they all clapped and hooted.
"Finally!" Brian said as he clapped Kevin's back.
The girls were hugging Kristen saying congratulations and stuff.
Facing Leighanne and the other girls, "I want you to be my Maid-of-Honor and you guys my bridesmaids, okay?" Then they hugged each other again.
"I can't believe I'm getting married!"
After all the excitment, Cari stood up and said, "I have to run guys, I have work tomorrow," she hugged the guys and the girls.
"Congrats," she said to Kristen and Kevin, they gave her a hug.
"I'll take you home," Nick offered.
"Nah, I see ya tomorrow hun, bye," she kissed him then went out of the room.
As she started her car, she thought about Kevin and Kristen, "I can't believe Kevin would hurt Kristen. He's a nice guy.
Someday, somehow, when I get passed by all these, it'll be wearing a diamond ring."
"Cari!" Brian said as he rushed over and hugged her. "How are you girlie?"
A month later at Brian's...
Kevin and Howie walked into the room with bags from Mickey D's.
