What Winston Saw

Winston Egbert wishes he'd never been tempted by sexy Amanda Franklin's long legs and sophisticated ways. She was nothing more than a fling. A stupid mistake. And he desperately wants to forget about her.
But Amanda saw something horrible from the bedroom window that night - something she can't get out of her mind. She knows she should go to the police, tell them what she saw. But she can't . . . she's got secrets of her own to protect.
Now Winston's afraid. If he doesn't help Amanda, she'll tell his girlfriend Denise Waters about their night of passion together, But if he does help her, he may lose more than just Denise. He may lose his life . . .

A murderous affair . . .

"I stopped Amanda from taking it as far as she wanted to go. I suddenly decided that it was a huge mistake ans was about to ask her to leave when she looked out the window and saw the attack."
"She called you over to the window, but you couldn't see anything because your contacts were already out by then," Elizabeth added.
"Exactly," Winston said, his eyes meeting hers. "You know, Liz - I wanted to report it right away, but Amanda's the on who stopped me. She was afraid that if we called the cops, everyone would know we'd been together. You see my dilemma, don't you?"
Elizabeth's face grew hot. "I see your dilemma, Winston, but it's still no excuse. That guy almost killed me! You've been making one bad decision after another, and people are dying because of it"
Winston cringed. "I didn't mean to hurt anyone!"
"I don't care what your intentions were; you have to take responsibility for what you've done!" Elizabeth was seething, her eyes glowing fiercely. "Next time this guy strikes, the victim could be Denise," she shouted, heading for the door. "And she might not be as lucky as I was!"
