The Roommate

Issabella Ricci has found the perfect roommate. Quiet, clean, and considerate, Lisa Fontaine is totally interested in Issabella's life. Maybe she's a little too interested . . .
Lisa starts to dress and talk like Isabella, and instantly hits it off with all her Sweet Valley friends . . . especially Isabella's best friend, Jessica Wakefield.
But Lisa crosses the line when she takes Isabella's clothes, cuts and dyes her hair just like Isabella's, and sneaks into Isabella's boyfriend, Danny Wyatt's, room.
Suddenly Isabella is scared. Lisa seems dead set on taking her friends, her identity . . . maybe even her life.

Looks can be deceiving . . .

"I called about the apartment. My name is Lisa Fontaine." She tucked a stringy strand of hair behind her ear. "If this is a bad time, I could come back later."
An embarrased laugh escaped Isabella's lips. "Now's as bad a time as any."
Chewing nervously on her fingernails, Lisa seemed to study Isabella for a moment with her dull hazel eyes. "Do you want me to make you a cup of coffee or something?"
"Actually, that would be very nice."
Isabella's body began to relax. It was amazing how at ease she felt with Lisa. Even though she wasn't the type of girl Isabella usually hung out with, Isabella found herself chatting endlessly in her presence. I've got a good feeling about this one. She could feel it deep down in her gut.
"So when do you think you could move in?" Isabella asked.
"Really? I could do it any time," Lisa said eagerly. Then, suddenly, her face fell. "All my references are in New York. It might be kind of hard getting in touch with them."
"Never mid about that," Isabella said confidently. "I know a good roomate when I see one."
