Jessica turned toward Clay with a smile, hoping to dazzle him into revealing all his dirty secrets. She was suprised to find his dace only inches from hers. Breath catching in her throat, she sidestepped him. The alley was far too narrow for her to get anywhere.
"Where are you going?"
"How about the quad fountain?" Jessica suggested brightly. "It's so dark and gloomy here. I want sunshine, I want scenery. This is seriously . . . lacking."
"Scenery looks fine to me," Clay said, his voice a deep growl as he backed Jessica up against a wall. "Thought we could use some privacy, you know?"
Jessica felt the heat of his body as he pressed his chest against hers. She was sure he could tell how quickly her heart was beating. And she was sure he liked it.
"I-I'm not sure this is a good idea," she said, more breathily than she'd intended.
"Relax. You'll get used to it."
