Jessica Wakefield is on the loose in the city that never sleeps! Her horrible memories of boot camp disppear when she's shopping at exclusive Madison Avenue boutiques and partying at wild downtown nightclubs. But will she give up the high life in order to help her sister?
With the off-Broadway debut of her play just around the corner, Elizabeth Wakefield hasn't a nail left to chew - because her lead actress is a disaster! Can she convince Jessica to step in for opening night?
Tom Watts has finally found a journalism job he's been dying for. But now his boss wants him to review Elizabeth's play! Will Tom find a way to give it a thumbs-up? Or will he be forced to report the cold, hard facts?

Jessica wont stop until she drops . . .

"Ready?" Jessica flashed a bright, eager smile. "'Cause I sure am!"
"Here goes." Elizabeth sighed in mock horror. "I can see you've kicked into shopping overdrive. Perhaps I should call U-Haul so we can get all your purchases back to Tish's."
"Not a bad idea," Jessica joked as they headed off. "Although Tish's space isn't going to be big enough. Maybe we should look into a warehouse."
Jessica was only half-kidding. Already her head was buzzing with images of the fabulous new clothes she would acquire. She quickened her step, eager to begin cleaning out the stores.
"Jess, I don't know where you get your energy."
"I don't know eiter." Jessica laughed and shook her head. She was amazed she'd even been able to get out of bed. "After Vince carried me out of Gotham Groove last night, I thought I'd be in a coma for the next two weeks . . .oops!"
Jessica clapped a hand over her mouth, but she could tell by the shock and anger on Elizabeth's face that it was already too late. Way to go, Jess! she thought miserably. Getting out of this one could take all day. So long, haute couture!
