Your smiles, laughs, happiness
Break in a second with your self doubt,
I see shine in your eyes.
Misery loves company,
Only to know it is not alone.
My misery chooses it's company,
Chooses another misery, depression, saddness;
To feel at home.
My misery feels warmth with you,
for I see that your smiles are only a fake wall
Hiding your fear,
Hiding your hate, anger, doubt.
I can't help but feel bad for you.
As I've learned to know you for your happiness,
I forgot to look beneath,
through your eyes,
and see your cries for help,
your need for understand, warmth, love.
I can't help but try to help
and say the first things to come to mind.
to tell you how much I really do care.
Nobody makes mistakes,
we just learn.
So many obsticles in life to overcome;
and I know you will do so in the best.
I know though you and I feel weak, helpless, selfless
We inside are strong,
for we have survived, lived, loved.
We inside can't make our pain go away...
But we truely know, both you and I..
that we're the strongest of the batch,
We still live on,
and we still put up with the jeers that are brought to us each day
and for that I know, we will go on,
pain everywhere, hurt outside.. yet strong at heart.
