* Location: South-western hemisphere. The total surface of this country is 3.761.274 Km2, of which 2.791.810 Km2 correspond at the American continent and 969.464 Km2 to the Antarctic continent and the southern islands. This is a good location, if you look at this with geographical eyes. If your eyes begin to get steamed up with the reality, you will find many surprises...
* Climate: Because of the extension and location, this country has diverse climates and geographical areas. The north is warm and subtropical. To the west and the south the climate is arid and cold in the mountains. It is also cold in the southern islands and in the antarctic sector. There are local winds.
In the central region the climate is tempered, with abundant rains. This is the ideal climate for the good development of the cultivations, for the animals and people. But not everything depends on the climate... and most of people use it as excuse. Because of the global heating and the hole in the ozone we are experiencing abrupt climate changes, quite atypical. In dry regions there are floods and in temperate regions there is more humidity than the normal . In other regions it rains more than before, or it doesn't rain and there is drought. And in general, the summer seems to begin before time and also the winter. Crazy climate, crazy time, crazy people.
* Population: The official language is Spanish. But this it is quite different to the one that is spoken in Spain... We have kind of invented words -because they don't exist in any language-, some others form part of jargons like the " lunfardo " that is of another time, others that are used because they are fashion, and other words that are of other languages -like English or French - but they are used blended with our Spanish, or they suffer funny " adaptations ". In each region or city there are different expressions that are typical, and different tunes -ways and tones when speaking - that can be funny or strange for others. There are also aboriginal languages, but they are spoken by the few natives that are in some isolated regions of the country, because they were always excluded. Now they have their reservations and they maintain their customs and ways of life, but they had to adapt to severe changes for not being excluded. There are special schools and some public ones that teach these languages, but they are a few and there is very few people interested in that.
The population in this country is 13 people per Km2, but most is centered in the urban areas. The 89,3% is urban and only a 10,7% rural. Most of the population is of European origin (mostly Spanish and Italian ) and it has their origins in the massive immigration from ends of the s.XIX until principles of the s.XX. There are also important communities of Jews, Lebanese, Syrian, Armenian, Japanese and Korean. The adhesion to the Catholic Church is majority, although in the last years the quantity of evangelists churches has increased.
The country is divided in counties, in total they are 23, and the Federal Capital which is autonomous. Each county has its particular attractiveness in its landscapes, natural reservations, recreation places , and those kind of things called "touristic atractions". In general, most of people live in the capitals, and less people in the towns and small cities. The population's distribution is very unequal; in the Federal Capital there are 15.000 people per Km2.
* Resources: This is a country with big natural resources, but just a third of the territory has been exploited sufficiently in search of petroleum and minerals.In the regions center, north and west the earth presents the best conditions to sow and the breeding of animals, but in general the whole earth is capable for different types of cultivations. Only in the northwest region the earth is arid and dry. The main exports are of meat, wheat and fruits. We have varied animal species and local vegetables, there are 200 protected natural areas, but some 500 animal species and other 250 vegetable species are threatened by the industrial contamination and the advance of the deforestation. But the reality is much more painful that this. We have many animals that we raise to eat, to make clothes, for transport, etc.. In the central region there are many cows, in the field. The cows are very important because here we eat up a lot of meat, and this meat is the best in the world. Thanks to the grandiose cows, in this country the milky industry is very big and important. But as we are an economically poor country -among other " excuses " - any industry rich foreigner comes and devours ours. As always, the big fish eat the little one... In the south region, the sheep give us their wool to manufacture beautiful and sheltered sweaters, although great part of our sheep and of the south fields belong to that Italian mister from the mark of the "united colors". So, if you dress that clothes, you are wearing on our sheep, surely. In conclusion, the natural resources are many, but they are not exploited completely by lack of money, reason why part of the earth is sold to foreign capitals and this way we lose more earth and money. And the last possessions of the state were sold mercilessly by the previous president, that liar clown who made of the privatization "his great solution for the economy of the country."
* Politics: Each county is politically independent, with its own elected governors for the town and all governed by the president. Please, don't ask for more details.. you know...
This is a country very outstanding because of its high levels of corruption.
And that's not something to be proud of. And that's the big reason why
everything is fucked up economically and in general.
* Attractions: It is unavoidable to have to talk about the capital, because it is the place where anyone arrives from out.Supposedly this is the most important and big city and all those necessary things to capture the attention of the tourists... but it depends on what kind of tourist you are. Because there are other cities and interesting places to go, but it cost more money, -for the distance - time, -for the trip - and to make an effort -for the transfer of baggages, etc. - to arrive. Then, most of the tourists only arrive to the capital federal and they think that they have already seen everything. That's up to them...
fold acades, big big old houses, picturesque paved streets, big squares and small parks, corners and historical corners all this blended shamelessly with modern glass buildings,
new constructions , giant luxurious hotels, the typical monstrous shopping centers and commercial complex or whatever. This is a city of the third world, but everything smells like european airs, for that reason people here think that they doesn't have anything to envy none of the big european cities. The best things are expensive, but you can live contemplating as others waste their money in expensive things, traveling in their expensive cars, having dinner in expensive places, taking out to walk their expensive dogs, taking care of their fingernails and hair in expensive beauty centers and living in expensive private neighborhoods. The cheap life is the one that most of people live, counting coins to arrive in order to the end of each month. So, everything is not well distributed, like in almost the rest of this country and the whole rest of the world. But people in this city are a very special case... The arrogance is one of their more unpleasant characteristics. As citizens of such a big and quick city, they don't care nothing else that themselves and their gigantic egos.
Well, not the all people are this way... they are funny after all and they seem to have ants
in their backs, because they are very anxious in almost every aspect. The city in itself is pleasant, and there are many interesting places to visit. The night life is very important, for that reason there is a lot of movement until late in the night. In general, we are all nocturne people... the night is the best moment for the recreation and amusement. Or the only moment, because it is necessary to work the whole bloody day. Although you live in this country, in the
Capital Federal you can feel yourself like a foreigner. It can be amusing to see how people are, although not always this is amusing. Definitively the city is taken by the cats; they are the most attractive inhabitants. The cats live in the most unusual and converged places, and they feed of people's weakness... they really know how to get all that they want. Also, the most unpleasant inhabitants are the cockroaches and the rats, reason why the cats are welcome everywhere. And per majority, the doves are disputed with them the city...
So, if you go to the botanical garden, to the zoo, to some hospital or squares or parks, churches, old buildings and some other places there they are...cats or doves. And, of course, cockroaches... * Education:
The literacy rate in Argentina is one of the highest in America reaching
approximately 95%. The thing in this point is that i don't know if it's
really true, even when i get this information from a brand reliable new
book... you know, sometimes you just can't trust anyone, not even a book. There are 24 National Universities, the oldest being
the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (the National University from
Córdoba) wich was founded in 1613. And that's absolutely true. Word. *
Miscellaneous: Let's talk about music, people. We
have really great musicians here, in all the differents genrs. Our country
is famous in the whole world because of the "tango" music, wich
is a special and excellent part of our typical music. Our folkloric music
it's divided and it varies in their style according to the geographical region.
And popular music en general had and has very good interpreters and
songwriters. Our rock & pop music has obviously influences of foreign bands,
and lot's of bands have created their own style though. If you are
