Last Friday, teenage Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban superstars, Emma Watson, 14, and Rupert Grint, 16, were arrested for breaking and entering into a Scottish cottage in the small town of Strathpeffer. The resident of the cottage, Ina Fletcher, 79, was shocked when she returned home from the grocery store to find a flock of officials gathered in front of her cottage. The two young rascals were handcuffed and driven away from the premises moments before the senior’s arrival.

When asked their motive, Emma simply replied “we were bored.” The child actors are currently in the process of filming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and were given the weekend off. Instead of attending modern dance lessons like their co-star, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma and Rupert decided to toy with the law instead.

“We’ve been doing nothing but filming for the past four years, and we wanted to have a change and let loose for once,” Rupert declared. “We meant no harm, just a little fun.”

The teenagers were on a walk when they stumbled across Mrs. Fletcher’s three hundred year-old cottage near the outskirts of town. They thought it was abandoned and went inside after discovering that the senile widow left the front door unlocked.

“We didn’t do anything wrong, we just had a few sips of brandy,” Emma explained to the police.

Nothing was reported missing except for the few missing drops of brandy. The youngsters were taken to the county jail where they were released on a bail of £ 300. They opted to call their friend, Radcliffe, instead of their parents in fear of being grounded.

“I was utterly enraged with Rupert and Emma when I found out what they did. They should know better! I am still not speaking with them,” fumed Radcliffe. “And I thought they were supposed to be good children, those scoundrels.”

Hours after the ordeal, Emma and Rupert were spotted drinking vodka in a local pub.
