Lisa,
Are weightloss journeys are eerily similar. I came upon your page doing a search on pain in the tailbone. I weighted in at 305lbs when I had the surgery. My highest weight ever. I was an athlete and put on 150lbs in just 7yrs after stopping playing basketball. After one year of surgery, I was down to 140 lbs. I lost 165lbs in just one year. Now I am experiencing a lot of pain in my tailbone. It is pain, numbing, redness, irritation, etc. No one seems to have a lot of info on this and when I call my doctor he really hasn't provided much. They are less supportive after receiving the payment for the surgery and now that he has moved on to new patients. Any feedback? Your help is appreciated.
Thank you, Stephanie Franks Thursday, 27 August 2009 - 12:38 PM CDT Name: "Stephanie Franks"
Lisa,
First off, I had a typo in my first message. I meant "Our" not "Are". I'm a grammatical freak. But I also wanted to add that I took have experienced the sagging skin. Not a serious amount like some patients I've seen post op, but enough that it doesn't make me feel as attractive as I could. The breast area is the most deflating (no pun intended). I haven't lost a cup size as you have, but I have more skin than volume which is not flattering when I'm not wearing a bra. It also takes a lot of support to keep them up. The other real problem areas are my inner thighs and my arms, followed by my stomach. My stomach is flat minus the pile of skin laying on top of it..ugg. However, I wouldn't change it for the world. Now I've just got to work my way through all the cosmetic things that need done to make me healthy and happy at the same time!
