Use of stuff on this page:
Scribbles (also referred to as "doodles", but this section covers the use of text): I fancy myself as a fairly amusing hack-writer (amusing to me, anyway, but considering that I've been finding all the drivel I've been scrawling all over this mistreated website "amusing", that isn't saying much). As such, I'm touchier about the use of stories or any other text found on this page than I am about the use of the images. Here are the rules: Do not attempt to pass off any of this as your own work (or play, or anything else of your own). You may quote a passage of text from here in a "signature" in e-mail or on a bulletin board, but please attribute the quote to me (a simple " -NAHTMMM" would be sufficient if I post there or if you don't have the space to include a link to this site, I'll understand either way) and especially please let me know about it, so that my massive ego can inflate a little more. If you don't want to acknowledge the source: fine, be that way. >:( The little snippets of "thought" are probably all right to refer to without acknowledgement, as I'm sure they've been thought before. And I won't likely know about it if you fail to acknowledge the source of the longer drivel either. Just don't pretend you wrote it, OK? Failure to abide by the conditions stipulated above will be punished by either a severe beating with a moldy stale breadstick or by a modified form of Chinese water torture, in which the "water" is replaced by "viewings of 'Barney' episodes". If you have no idea of what I'm talking about, then don't press your luck. Everyone who does know what I mean wholeheartedly agrees on this.
"Doodles" (also referred to as "doodles" for no obvious reason, but this section covers the use of images): I do not consider myself a world-class artist. If I put an image up here, though, I like it (or at least am amused by the idea of putting it up here). If you really want to use an image, you have my permission, as long as you don't pretend to have made it yourself. If I want a scapegoat, I'll blame it on Mariah Carey (ugh) myself, thank you. If there is an image that has "NAHTMMM" in it somewhere, and the image is messed up as a result, do one of two things. Either leave "NAHTMMM" in there somewhere, or get my permission to use it and then copy off the original and color out my signature (in which case, again, it would be nice if you gave me credit). If the image you want has no "NAHTMMM" in it, a simple acknowledgement, both to those who see your copy and to me, would be appreciated greatly--again, got to keep the ego happy. If not, then I understand.
The lovely TrekBBS card is an exception: I cut-and-pasted the blue bar and "TrekBBS" part from EWDEE's card, did most of the other text stuff myself, generated the starfield myself, pasted the raw image of the butterfly in there; "Killer" Koinek graciously donated the image of Voyager; and naira did some touching up on the colors, positioned the ship, trimmed the border of the butterfly, and added the nify rank buttons. In other words, that one is off-limits for downloading, period. I might have a few images up that I won't care whether you use them without acknowledgement, but I'm thinking those will be labeled and sectioned off. Failure to abide by all these terms will be met with some horrible punishment, I don't know what yet, but I'll think of something.
