Upstairs Living /Basement Rec/Office
Upstairs Living room, we used a faux painting, and added hardwood (laminate) flooring. Next is furniture and window treatments. Any ideas are appreciated!
We've moved things around and have different furniture upstairs now that we use the room more, but have yet to find a furniture layout that works well. All of the yellow needs repainting...actually the whole house needs repainting.
Between '06 and '08 we've done alot of updates and redecorating. The main living room now has plantation shutters, new paint and new furniture.
The breakfast nook area was also repainted and we put plantation shutters "cafe style" on the lower part of the bay windows

Basement Living/Rec Room
We painted, and used a texture technique under the chair rail we also added. We added crown mouldings and replaced the carpets. For the empty area, we're considering an electric or gel fireplace and a bar area, maybe a game table.
