Michigan Deer & Elk Application Periods:


  • Antlerless deer (Public Land Only)- 7/1 - 8/1
    • Drawing results: 8/9
  • Elk- 6/15 - 7/15
    • Drawing results: 8/1

Michigan Deer & Elk Seasons:


  • Deer Seasons:
    • Bow Season- October 1 - January 1
    • Rifle Season- November 15 - November 31
    • Late firearms- December 22 - January 1 (antlerless deer on private land only)
    • Muzzle Loading season (Zone 1)- 12/5 - 12/14
    • Muzzle Loading season (Zones 2,3)- 12/12 - 12/21
  • Elk Seasons:
    • December 9 - 16 & January 17 - 21
