Section 7- Global warming and the Greenhouse Effect
The Earth's Temperature Depends On The Energy Ballance Between Incoming Solar Radiation And Outgoing Terrestrial Radiation. The Earth's Atmosphere Acts As A Sort Of )ne-Way Valve. It Allows Visible Light From The Sun In But Because Of Its Water Vapor And Carbondioxide Content It Prevents Terrestrial Radiation From Leaving. The Greenhouse Effect Is When The Inside Of A Car, Greenhouse, Planet, Etc. Gets A Lot Hotter Tan The Outside Air. Terrestrial Radiation Is Energy From The Earth. Short Wavelength Energy From The Sun Enters Through The Glass, Atmosphere, Ect. Of A Car, Greenhouse, Planet, Ect. And Warms The Apolstering, Soil, Etc. Which Then Gives Of Long Wavelength Energy And It Can't Get Out Back Through The Glass, Atmosphere,Etc.
