Section 3- Radiation
Heat From The Sun Is Able To Pass Through The Atmosphere And Warm The Earth. Not By Conduction Because Air Is One Of The Poorest Conductors, And Not By Convection Because Convection Only Starts After The Earth Is Warmed. It's Warmed By Radiation. Any Energy, Including Heat, Transmitted By Radiation Is Radiant Energy. Radiant Energy Is In The Form Of Electromagnetic Waves.
Objects At Low Temperatures Emit Long Waves. Higher Temperature Objects Have Shorter Wavelengths. Objects With Everyday Temperatures Emit Mostly Longer Waves.
