Precious Blood Cathedral

The Precious Blood Cathedral was built in 1876 out of sandstone from neighbouring St. Mary's River and is designed in the shape of a cross. A flight over the Church reveals the structural cross moreso than a walk of the grounds. Originally named Parish Church of the Sacred Heart,it replaced the wooden Jesuit church that was on the grounds. The Jesuit and Parish cemetery, which was located on the South side of Queen St., was relocated eastward across from the Ontario Forestry Research Institute. Rumour had it that no business ever survived on the old cemetery site and it is currently a vacant lot.

The neighbouring grounds and Precious Blood Cathedral have unusually high EMF readings, although base line readings are within normal parameters. EVP has been captured in the Church and old cemetery.
