Diaz takes Corning Classic

Laura Diaz claimed the second LPGA title of her career after carding a two-under par 70 in the final round of the Corning Classic on Sunday.

Diaz finished two strokes clear of fellow American Rosie Jones, who had won the title twice before.

Diaz, in her fourth season on the LPGA Tour, finished on 274, 14 under par.

Jones went round in 71 to take second, one stroke ahead of Italy's Silvia Cavalleri and New Zealand's Marnie McGuire.

South Korean rookie Jung Yeon Lee finished fifth on 278 after a final-round 70.
