Winter Project

This is a conceptual design of my winter project. I'm building a computer work station out of Cherry. I've had fun buying a table saw, planer, and biscuit joiner. Yes, it all fits in the same single car garage I'm building the plane in. I hung the plane wings from the ceiling. The rest of it is in the spare bedroom. We'll...most of it. The ailerons are still behind the couch in the living room.

Here's the bottom left desk section. It will have two drawers at the top and a Barrister hinged door at the bottom to conceal the printer. A Barrister hinge folds up and slides back kind of like a garage door. The printer will slide out on a shelf for loading with paper, etc.

The printer door up in the open position. The tray the printer pulls out on is just thrown in loose for reference.

The cove is for the function of the sliding door.

Close-up of the cove molding at the bottom of the desk.

Powermatic - the mother of all table saws.
