Welcome to the SST (Stratford Swim Team) webpage, home of the Royals!!!  We look forward to another great year of fun and swimming.  We welcome all children from Stratford Community, between 4-17 years of age, to come and give the swim team a try.  Although many people don't think that "swim team" sounds very appealing, everybody on the team loves their team and the sport of swimming.


We are part of the CSRA Swim League, which consists of approximately 21 teams.  These teams are separated each year into 3 divisions; they are divided by their skill level and how many members the team consists of.  This year SST is placed in division 3, which is the "lowest" division.  Even though we are in the lowest division, it is only because fewer swimmers; it is not because we aren't good.  The Royals te the division year after year.  Here is our schedule...

-Practice-

Practice is not mandatory; it is highly reccomended, but if a swimmer decides to not come to the practices, we won't get on to him about it.  Practices take place every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturady during the swim season.  The reason for no wednesday practices is the fact that swim meats take place on tuesday nights, and usually end up ending fairly late, and the swimmers deserve a day of rest.  The practive schedule is as follows...

-Coaches-

Our coaches this year will be Kevin Skenes, whom is the head coach, and Alex Trakowski; the assistant coach.  This is their second year with SST and they have done an outstanding job of leading our team.  Every team has potential, but these coaches unlock everything that our team is capable of.  Both of our coaches have had extensive training from year round swimming, and Kevin is now swimming for Georgia Tech.  With amazing coaches like these, it is no wonder that SST owns the swimming pools.  Not only are the coaches good teachers, but they are also very fun, and all of the kids love the coaches.
