The vampire is an issue upon which many would spend hours....and which many would scoff. Many legends circulate about the vampire, the old rumors of its aversion to crosses, holy water, light, white roses; the whole lot. These meet me as nothing but rubbish. I find that vampires should be examined and taken into account as not superior, but merely as well adapted, as we are not. We conquer instead of adapting, causing life to adapt to us. But they...they have lived on, with strength, physically and mentally, unrivaled. They have a slight aversion to the sun, and being out in the harsh rays will weaken them considerabely. They do not fear crosses, holy water; these are mere wives tales. This makes them nearly invincible, no? Wrong. As they are of human origin, they still retain the ability for emotion (though many grow cold of heart over the years, hence the belief that they cannot feel emotionally), this giving them vulnerability, though not as much as human (or, perhaps, even more. but..who's to say?), depending on the circumstances. They are looked upon as fiends, true.... But I share the view of many in the fact that, as people, they aren't completely evil, nor completely good. They are children of Pandora, just as we, the human race, are... They are my dearest lunar roses, beauty of the night.
