UPDATED April 10,2008 MY BABY WAS BORN YAY MORE DETAILS BELOW Hello I am Cathy and I own and opperate a small 30 hole registered rabbitry. I raise mini rex in otter,brokens and blue eyed whites and I raise Black Tans. My main focus at this moment in my breeding program are my otter mini rex and my new breed Tans. I am also a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association. I breed for quality not quantity there are just way to many homeless animals in the world do to multiple careless breedings I don't wanna make any more. I give my rabbits toys like wood blocks and baskets to chew on, fresh veggies a few times a week, and pleanty of socialization. My rabbits are not raised as any type of "livestock" they are raised and treated like pets. True they do live out in a barn. It is only because rabbits in numbers over 3 in a house really make your house smell like a big rabbit. My rabbits are raised, and socialized as companions starting on day 3 after they are born I limit handling the first 48 hours to let mom an babies bond and also I feel they need to stay together so they do not get cold. Once the rabbits can be relaxed when handled then I practice possing them everyday 3 times in a row for as long as they can sit still and then they get veggies for rewards. Aside from the rabbit world I live with my Boyfriend and I have a new baby son named Jayden born April 3,2008 He was born 7 weeks early and is a tiny little guy he wayed 5lbs and 6 ounces and was 18 inches long and he is acute little guy with natural bleach blonde hair. I work at The Humane Society Of Baltimore County it is nice to work some where with animals I work mostly with dogs. I love all animals, my favorites are rabbits, dogs and horses. I do have some other animals besides rabbits. I own 3 dogs, 2 goats, and a hampster( the cutest hampster in the world!) My parents have some egg layin hens, a rooster and a talking african grey parrot named Ringo who says over 80 words and makes lots of awsome realistic sounds like the phone, barking, chicken noises, singing and unfortunatly he has learned a few crude embarrassing noises too. It is great having all these animals around to me because ever since I can remember I have always had a true passion and love for animals since I was a tiny infant. I am also very good at drawing dogs,horses,rabbits,and mostly any other animal veiw "my other pets and some of my art link" if you'd like to see some.
