Meet Shannon...

Shannon, racing fanatic!, has been my friend for about 3 years, when we first met we hung out with different groups of friends and didn't get along very well. All we really knew about eachother is that we both love and have horses. We'd chat every now and then in the hallway at school, but weren't friends. Now, we're pretty much best friends that go almost everywhere together and like the same stuff. Almost... she LOVES Thoroughbred Racing, I LOVE Showjumping!! The only similarity in our fav. choices in equine sport is that they both require immense speed and highly specialized trained horses! Plus TB's can jump, but usually not at the olympic heights as well as, say a Hanovarian, or any other breed of warmblood. But no warmblood or anyother breed will beat a TB on the track! Shannon's fav. breed of horse, though, is the refined Arabian. Her own horse (above), in fact, is a purebred Arab gelding, named Darq Ali's Ace (a.k.a. Ace, Acer). The two of them do well in competition, in regular horse show competition (not racing!). But when at home her and Ace do race her sister in the fields, and if not her sister they choose to race the wind!!

Other differences between us include: I'm more creative and love mystery, biology and dissection intrigues me- she's grossed out by it!, I love warmbloods, Friesians, and Saddlebreds, I also really really like Arabs, but not as much as she does. Arabs are beautiful, but they can't really jump! Our choices in music are a little different also, check out my fav. bands page here . Hmmm...at the moment I can't think of any more differences... I guess we ARE two of a feather!!
