Khagina (Pakistani Scrambled Eggs) Recipe


  • 3 or 4 Eggs (boiled, peeled and mashed)
  • 2 large Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 Green Pepper (Hari Mirch) (chopped)
  • 1/8 tsp. Red Chilli Powder (Pisi Lal Mirch) (or to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black Pepper (Pisi Kaali Mirch) (freshly ground - to taste)
  • 5 tbsp. Cooking Oil
  • A few strands of Fresh Coriander Leaves (Hara Dhania) (chopped - for garnish)

  1. In a skillet, Fry chopped tomatoes in oil until well cooked.
  2. Add green pepper, red chilli powder, salt, and black pepper; stir fry for a minute or so.
  3. Add Eggs and cook by stirring until eggs are well done; remove from heat.
  4. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander and serve hot.
Note: Khagina is a famous Pakistani Breakfast Dish, usually served in Sehri in Ramadan.

Serving Suggestions: Serve Hot with Paratha or Bread and Butter
