  • 1 Egg
  • ½ tbsp. Semolina (Sooji)
  • 2 cups Milk Powder
  • 1 tsp. All-Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. Cooking Oil
  • More Cooking Oil (as needed for deep frying)
  • Seeds from 5 Cardamom Pods (Choti Ilaichi)
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • A few drops Rose Water Essence (Kewra)
  • 2 cups Water


  1. In a pot dissolve sugar in water on medium heat to make a syrup. Add the cardamom seeds and cook to a boil. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Mix together the rest of the ingredients into a dough and make into small balls (makes about 32 balls) and deep fry until brown. Add to the syrup.
