  • ½ kilogram of Fish (cut into 3 inch pieces)
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Black Pepper (Pisi Kaali Mirch) (Freshly ground)
  • ½ tsp. of Ajinomoto (Chinese Salt)

  • 1 cup of All-Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 2 tbsp. of Corn Flour (Makai Ka Aata)
  • ½ tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 Egg (beaten)
  • A pinch of Salt
  • 6 cups of Cooking Oil (for deep frying)


  1. Marinate the fish pieces with: salt, black peppers, and ajinomoto. And set aside.
  2. Mix all of the ingredients for the batter and make into a smooth paste. (A little water can also be added if needed.) Dip the marinated fish pieces one by one into the batter and deep fry until golden brown.

Serving Suggestions: Serve hot with Tomato Ketchup or Hot Sauce
