Fancy car with a big sign.
But whats it for I here you asking???
I am a Pilot/Escort Vehicle Driver
YOUR STILL CONFUSED!!!!! READ ON MORE!!!!
"OVERSIZED" trucks...which means carrying a load over the legal size limit
are required by law to have 1 or more Pilot/Escort vehicles travelling with them.
The type and size of loads determines how many Pilot/Escort vehicles
and also sometimes Police vehicles have to travel with the load.
I have heard about loads with as many as 8 Pilots and 8 Police vehicles.
Most "OVERSIZED" trips are restricted to daylight travel.
Special Police permits can be issued for night travel.
But basically wherever we are in Australia when the sun goes down
is where we stop the load and camp the night on the roadside.
So I get paid to travel Australia and go camping at the same time.
Thats why I love my job so much :)
It is an exciteing job.
Below are just a few pictures of loads that I have Escorted

Mine Crusher Cone (20 feet Wide & 31 Tonne)

Milk Tank (130 feet Long, 16 feet Wide & 15 Tonne)

Mine Truck Tipper (27 feet Wide & 90 Tonne)
