Brawler

The Brawler

Control: Gd
Speed: Rm
Body: Rm
Protection: Gd

Weapons Systems:
-Armored Construction: the Brawler is built with a hardened, solid steel frame, a shrapnel-resistant passenger cover, and all-terrain, self-sealing tires; in other words, it's rather durable. This accounts for its high Body rating, as well as its Protection score (though the latter doesn't apply to side-based attack).
-Communications Array: equipped with a powerful U.H.F./V.H.F./C.C.T.V. radio transceiver, the Brawler also has a rather potent whip antenna, allowing it a total communications range of 250 miles (Ty), and has a quasi-random frequency hopper to allow for Ex signal encryption.
-Guided Missiles: on the back of the Brawler are two separate, multi-directional missile pods with three rounds in each. These rear-mounted launchers can be fired from within the Brawler or from the back if necessary. These heat-seeking projectiles have the following vehicular statistics:
--Control: Ex Speed: Mn Body: Ex Damage: Rm Edge
-Quartz-Halogen Lamps: these twin lamps, mounted on front of the Brawler, are powerful light casting implements capable of producing Rm illumination. This helps to deal with night conditions, and can provide an improvised blinding attack under certain (surprise) conditions.
-Rotary Multi-Projectile Launcher: instead of the old Pulse Cannon, the Brawler uses a six-round, rotary barrel missile launcher. These rounds have the same statistics as the missiles listed above, but can be fired three at a time for +1cs damage, or all six can be fired for a total of +2cs damage.
-Storage Compartment: the Brawler has a rather large storage capacity in the back. The Brawler itself has over a 2,000 pound load limit, allowing it to carry the driver, gunner, two passengers in the back seat, and up to six additional hangers-on, meaning that at least 500 lbs of gear can be held here. More, if less than ten folks are in/on the Brawler.
-Twin-Barreled Side Guns: finally, on each side of the Brawler are two swivel-mount, twin barreled guns that can be used as back-up for the vehicle's main gun. These can be fired to inflict Ex Shooting in a short burst, or Rm Shooting in a continuous stream of lead.

Bio-History:

As the battle between G.I. Joe and Cobra heated up yet again, the Joes decided to pull yet another of their trusty old vehicles out of mothballs in the year 2002. This time, they reactivated and refurbished a small fleet of their old Hammers, modernizing their electronics and very look. For one thing, they gave 'em a new paint job; while the original Hammers were of a plain tan hue, the new ones, the so-called Brawler IIs *, got a tan and green camouflage pattern. Furthermore, the Joes replaced the old pulse cannon with a new, heavy duty weapon.
