Virgo

- Virgo was a woman of mystery. She was a member of the Zodiac, the version led by Scorpio and Ecliptic (who opposed Alpha Flight and Weapon X). She was mostly quiet, but she was also loyal to and in love with Scorpio, this version of whom was rumored to be General Jeremy Clarke, who worked for Department H. Virgo's only abilities seemed to be her skills in the use of bows and firearms.
- After a skirmish with Alpha Flight during her first appearance, Virgo ended up in Paris, where she was rescued and taken care of by an eldery couple until Taurus found her and returned her to Scorpio. The elderly couple had been murdered, but it was unclear whether the culprit was Taurus or Virgo, who participated in the Zodiac's successful theft of the Nth Projector.
- Virgo was last seen being killed off by Weapon X. Personally, I loved Steven Seagle's Alpha Flight series and was upset that the story of the Zodiac didn't play out until the end. Supposedly, Seagle planned on making it turn out that General Jeremy Clarke was Scorpio. Supposedly, Clarke's "death" in Alpha Flight Vol. 2#12 was faked, to draw attention away from himself so that he could continue his plans for the Nth Projector. Since it was said that this version of Scorpio was a former hero who fell from grace, it made sense to me that this Scorpio was actually a clone of James MacDonald Hudson, one that Ecliptic had come across and subverted to his/her cause. After all, there were several clones of Hudson running around during that time. But, we will never know the real truth since Frank Tieri wiped out Scorpio, Virgo, and the rest of the Ecliptic Zodiac in what was (to me, anyway) the only stain on Tieri's Weapon X run.
