Zoey was found by a old man by the name of David at the age of 2 behind the New York Public Library next to Bryant Park in New York City a few miles from the Hudson River. She was told he found her with a Zoey Doll .. you know the one from Sesame Street and since he was a ex-professor of English he named her Zoey Emily Emerson .. Emily from Emily Dickinson and Emerson from Ralph Waldo Emerson .. he was a lonely old man and had a small dirt cheep apartment that he paid for by collecting cans.. he was also a bit paranoid and didn’t want to hand the child over to the police in fear they would do experiments on her so in secrecy he kept her in his little apartment. He taught her how to read and write and add and subtract and so forth by the time she was five she had a 8th grade education. And she was very quick learner. He spent hours playing chess with her and discussing poetry and such as if he was still a professor and she was his entire class. She would go out and collect cans with him . and since she was so tiny people would give her money and such if she happen to stare at them long enough .. she was a little gold mine for him . A few more years went by and one morning shortly after her seventh birthday she woke up and tried to wake up David but he wouldn't wake at the age of 78 David had passed away quietly in his sleep. she stayed in the apartment for about seven days with the dead body that's when she fell into her powers so lost and scared little dragons would appear out of thin air to comfort her even a elven maiden would rock her to sleep .. all the mystical creatures from her stories came to life when she was scared she felt comforted by them. Then when a neighbor complained about a smell the landlord and cops checked out the apartment and well the were astonished to find a little girl in the apartment with a dead old man , she got so frighten she had vanished from there site .. they called for her but she ran by them unseen .. she didn't know she had camouflaged into the background of the apartment.. and still don't know she can do that. She wandered the streets for a year moving from district to district. thankfully David had taught her about the streets and she was able to survive rather easily .. a few people tried to grab her once or twice and in a state of fear a goblin would appear and scratch them up they quickly would let go and she would vanish down the alley or into the New York crowd. This is how Zoey lives and will until she finds the perfect place for her to live she has no goals but to find a home at the moment but she is not sure she ever will for David imbedded in her mind that no one is to be trusted except for educators .. professors .. teachers .. people who create not destroy like the government.
And she did as she found herself in a place she actually fit in. She grew up in the Xavier School for Gifted Children from the age of 8 as they had let her into there school and helped her get a education she was soon taken in by Cristina and Jamar Jackson and had ended up moving in with thembut due to some trouble she got into and theloss of some very key people in herlife she had left to a private boarding school where she excelled a few grades but having learned that things at the school were dire she decided to finish her schooling at the place that she always considered home..
Once back at the school Zoey trianed hard to become a X-man and to pursue a career as a doctor, so her senior began with her starting as a Med-aide and a x-ment trainee the trainees were soon call Hellions and led by a new comer by the name of Xander Corgan. There she worked hard to become a part of the team her mentor was Remy Lebeau for awhile and then Star but then she was without mentor again as things change so fast in the strutcure of the school she fought when needed and studied hard to fufil her goal of becoming a doctor during her senior year she made a life long freind with Eve Corgan and in twist of Fate fell in deep love with a boy by the name of Lukas who turned out to be Xander and his wife Viv 's son fromt he furtuer he was sent on a mission from apoloclypse and during this time he was wounded shepatched him up and during that time they fell for each other though there love lasted for only a few short weeks during that time they loved , and they fought but in the end he turned on the right path and then was taken from her, she also found out during the worse few weeks of her life that her father was a Reality bender who was trying to destroy the x-men and essentiall was acting as if he was god his name was Janus and as he opened her eyes to her true potential she began to get better control on her initial powers but he had opened her eyes to a whole new power set she had andthis set scared theh ell out of her she can heal a little and bend the fabirc of reality to her will though she is still young many have told her she will become powerful and this as well frightens her for she has seen what power did to her biological father who was eventually defeated by the one who he had taken as a lover .. her best friend Eve corgan. So now with both there loves gone Eve and zoey became closer , then it was found out that Janus's other self Pen whome eve had fallen in love with was actualyl hidden in another vessle named Van once Zoey found out that essentially her father was still alive she seeked him out for guidence for her new powers he helped her begin on the right path and during this time she found out about her mother and who he was when he was her father it set to rest that she may become evil but the doubt still lingers there and she trys not to use her reality bending powers unless absoulty the last straw afraid of unleashing her power and becoming insane like the Janus part ot hte entity known as her father . As the school year closed up she was accepted into Oxford school for a Medical degree and being as it was in london she was invited to stay with the Excalibur group which though she didnt want to leave her freinds and adopted family especially Eve she knew that new york city and the school held to much pain and memories for her it was time to start a new , she accpeted and even got her x-men X . So at graduation , Zoey was a X-man , soon to be oxford medical student , and soon to be Excalibur member. She had a relictancy to leave due to the disappearnce of Pen but Eve made her go and she did with thoughts of her past on her mind a ring that lukas gave her still around her neck and hopes her futre will be as less rocky she flew to England. Wondering two things .. one will she live to graduate and become a doctor and two .. will her heart ever mend from the loss of Lukas...
