My Origami

Here are some origami that I folded myself. A lot of these ones are very simple. I am working on some complex models right now, such as a dragon, a butterfly and a praying mantis. Hopefully I'll have some more pictures soon.

These birds (the current origami of the month) are the first fold I really got into. I love to make them and I have tons of them already. This is also my first memorized fold. This little crème colored bird is the one I consider to be my "best fold" of all the birds. (be sure to visit origami of the month to request a bird of your own!)
These Seals are too cute for their own good. The gray one looks male to me, and the pink female. (If you look close, they are slightly different.) This is a simple fold, but hard to get "perfect". I liked both of these, but I am definitely going to practice on this fold more to get it better.
Ah, the traditional crane. How could I fold origami and not have a few cranes? The green is my favorite-- the blue was my first attempt as a little present to my boyfriend. This fold is a bit more complex, but not hard. Sometimes the head and tail look funny. I find it easier to do with larger paper.
(image soon) The sale boat. Originally I never planned to work on this fold at all, but then after I made the whales I thought a boat would look cute next to them. Then I got the idea to make the graphic for the main page and so that's that.
I used a pretty metallic paper to make these elegant swans. They are two different styles and make a beautiful pair! I gave these two to my Mother to set on her desk at work, :) The beaks can be a bit tricky to make them have a clean fold, however once you do they are very nice to look at.
Elegant and beautiful, the whales I found to be a delightful challenge. They don't look all that difficult but the tails were really tricky. I think they turned out lovely and they are one of my favorite folds. Sometime in the future they will probably be the origami of the month, since I really need to practice with them.
Geometric shapes and boxes are a really popular origami figure. This star box was my first attempt and I was really pleased with it. I used two sided paper and it came out looking really nice. All the folds are clean and it is really symmetric.
