Sometime After the year 2000, and immence war between humans and AI broke out. During the course of this time many lives were lost, the sky was scorched, and several motion pictures were successfully launched. The movies displayed the Matrix as it is now, but it was not always quite so impressive in its image of our "reality". After the original Utopian reality had proven to be a failure, the "designers" of the Matrix decided on many different forms of matrix...
Perhaps the problem with humans is that they are too diven by reproduction. Maybe humans had just to many choices when it came to a mate. Maybe there were too many sexes... 
Theoretically reducing the number of sexes in a species would lower the amount of anxiety and stress in it. This proved somewhat true for the Gaytrix. However there was a flaw. Something that the designers did not consider. The Agents were some damn rugged looking men.
