Origin:

Lucas was just the age of 18 when he decided to be a bartender. With the disappointment of his father, Lucas was kicked out of his home. The only place Lucas could go to was his Ex-Girlfriend, Kara's, House. The parents of Kara made a deal with Lucas to live there for a cheap price. Well on one night, Lucas was at work. These 2 men were drinking a lot and decided to harass one of the waitresses. When Lucas saw that, he decided to help her out of the scene but he then got involved. The 2 men forcibly took Lucas down and began to beat on him.

As the other bartenders, bouncers, and security guards looked on, all they did was call the cops. They didn't even help Lucas in the trouble he was in. As the cops showed up, they question many people to see what the story was. After about 30 minutes of waiting, the cops informed everybody that they were going to let the 2 men that beat on Lucas go because of "lack of evidence".

Lucas was then rushed to the hospital to be treated of his wounds. As he got out, Kara's parents informed Lucas that they wanted him to get out within 2 weeks because they did not want trouble for there house hold or there daughter. Not only that, he also got let go from his job because of time he needed to recover from the attack.

With nowhere to go now, Lucas had to find a place on the streets to sleep. One night while asleep, the same 2 men that hospitalized Lucas found him again, and yet again gave Lucas yet another trip to the hospital and sense Lucas was a homeless person, the cops just shunned his side of the story and yet again let the men go free.

When Lucas got out this time, he was furious on the 2 previous attacks on his behalf. He then met a person who later became his best friend. His name was Brian Duffy. Brian Duffy was a martial arts master and teacher of Kenpo Karate, which means "Fist Law". Mr. Duffy then let Lucas stay at his house. Lucas then started to date Mr. Duffy's daughter, Angela. After 7 1/2 years of Kenpo training, Lucas could now fight and stick up to himself.

He was at his brown belt, which is one belt below black. One day, Mr. Duffy decided that Lucas was ready for his black belt so he gave him a private test to see. During the test Lucas had to perform many activities. He even had to fight Mr. Duffy. He actually had a good fight going for about 30 seconds until Mr. Duffy got him off guard.

As Mr. Duffy went to get the black belt for Lucas, he made Lucas stay in a position, which is called "The Horse Stance". That is when you spread your legs and bend your knees as if you were riding a horse. Mr. Duffy made him wait for 35 minutes as he decided to get the belt. When Mr. Duffy was on his way back to the room where he had Lucas waiting in, 2 mysterious men had surprised Mr. Duffy and had him shot as one man pulled out a gun from 2 feet away.

Lucas heard the noise and decided to get out of the horse stance so he could investigate the noise. As he left the room, he took with him a pair of quarterstaffs that were about 2 1/2 feet long in length. He then found his teachers body lying as Mr. Duffy is groaning, trying to get away. The 2 men then turned their attention to Lucas.

As a surprise, the 2 men noticed that it was the same man they beat up on in the bar, and again when Lucas was sleeping out in the streets. So as the men approached Lucas, they decided to drop the gun and beat on him again. Little did they know Lucas had been training for a day like this for more than 7 years. Lucas pulled out the sticks and started to beat them with lighting like speed. The 2 men could not even blink as they dropped to the floor. As Lucas went to check on Mr. Duffy, Mr. Duffy then told Lucas to come closer.

As Lucas got closer, Mr. Duffy Whispered in his ear, and said "Congratulations Lucas. You made it black belt and know, cough cough, you are a Kenpo master." Mr. Duffy then died in Lucas's arms. He then picked up the gun that the 2 men used and out of rage, shot and killed the 2 men with out even to stop to think about it.

As Angela, Mr. Duffy's daughter, and Lee, his wife, entered the scene, all they saw was Lucas holding a gun as 3 men, one of them being Mr. Duffy, lying on the floor dead. Out of panic, Angela raced to the phone and calls the police to report that Lucas had killed 3 people. As Lucas fled from the scene, he then decided to lay low and take refuge at a city known only as Paragon City.
