The first series of South Park was aired in 1997 and was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. They struck a deal with Comedy Central by submitting a pilot entitled "The Spirit of Christmas" a very crudely but highly amusing animation of what later became the show South Park!
It's hard to believe that the show is already up to the 7th season. I can still remember the day when I saw the 1st episode thinking, "Thats weird what's a little kids cartoon doing on SBS at this time of night?" Upon viewing the cartoon for several minutes, it was quite clear this was no kids' cartoon! Some of the stuff, I had never seen on TV before! |
The show's focal point is a quiet little town in the mountains above Colorado. Here we see the main characters Stan, Kyle Cartman and Kenny. Four young 8-year olds, who quite frankly are the most foul-mouthed kids I've ever heard. However they have some of the most memorable lines, which are pure gold!
