Jen is (mostly) always happy and/or chipper. She's always looking for something fun to do which is basically the reason she joined the crew -- because it sounded like a fun adventure. That and it was good opportunity to meet lots of different guys! ^_~

She joined the crew while they were visiting her home village of Amelin. Kellers and Lori were looking for some good weapons when they came across Jen's shop. Kellers and her sticky fingers pocketed a small dagger thinking that no one saw but, Jen did. They tried to make a run for it but Jen outran them and before she could do anything to them, Kellers offered Jen a position on the ship. Suprisingly, Jen took her up on the offer and there were no hard feelings after that.
