All New Tenchi Moyo Part 1, No. 1
By Hitoshi Okuda; Published by Viz Comics
Strange. Very, very strange. This is something I'd expect from this whacked out form of anime. Basically, a bunch of aliens living in one house, in love with Tenchi. Cue mayhem. Vie for affections and stir. This serves as a sort of introductory issue, but it sort of gives some sembalence to a story. The art is a bit confusing at times, due to the lack of color added. It's a decent start though.

Score: 7/10

New X-Men 126
All Hell - By Grant Morrison, Frank Quitely, and Tim Townsend; Published by Marvel
Ay caromba! I wasn't expecting an ending like this! If there was one thing about this that I really liked, is that Grant did the unpredictable. The writing was top noch, the best in a couple of months. And Quitely's back! Incredibly impressive. Pick of the week.

Score: 10/10

Peter Parker, Spider-Man 44
A Death in the Family - By Paul Jenkins, Humberto Ramos and Wayne Faucher; Published by Marvel
Now, I don't understand why I've decided to pick up three Spider-Man titles in the past two weeks. I really don't. I mean, I've always like the guy. A great character he is. So what sparked this recent pickup? Beats me. All I know is that this issue brings back Green Goblin, and I think that he wants to bring everyone back together with a funeral. Beats me. It's a four parter, so there's enough time to know what will happen. I do like Jenkins writing style though, so I might be tempted to go beyond this four parter and see how this series progresses. Ramos, from what I believe, is doing the art for the arc, and in Ramos style, I like. Somewhat overexaggerated, but he keeps it within believeability. All told, more Spidey for me!

Score: 8/10

Punisher 12
Yo! There Shall Be An Ending! - By Tom Peyer and Manuel Gutierrez; Published by Marvel
Well, it was rather violent. And it was the Punisher. I feel something was missing from this though. Maybe the fact that twenty-two pages weren't enough to tell two different stories. Though Soap's was a subplot resolved rather...okay, and the Medallion plot went nowhere, other than the big guy running taxis...oh well. I'd still like to see these two back again, and hopefully they'll have a better joke than this one.

Score: 6/10

Ultimate X-Men 18
World Tour Part 3 - By Mark Millar and Chris Bachalo; Published by Marvel
Well, the plot with Colossus leaving the team is resolved this month because of Tony Stark being a bugger and not showing up to help out a sunken submarine. I was rather impressed with how the whole thing was played out, and Millar got some good personalities running with the characters. The main plot twist was nicely done as well, and next month's conclusion should be nice. Bachalo's fill-in was welcomed nicely.

Score: 8/10

X-Force 127
Because Louise - By Peter Milligan and Mike Allred; Published by Marvel
My favorite book (besides The Ultimates) because it is has been, month in and month out, the best book put out by Marvel. And this is no exception. They said someone will die, but now it's a question of 'who'll live' to see the new X-Statix launch. Always a pleasure to read, writing and artwise. Get this book. Or rather, start with X-Statix 1. That'll be a good jumping on point.

Score: 9/10

Well that was a decent week. Next week looks a bit light again. I'm going to be trying a magna from Dark Horse. The Hood also starts next week, from Marvel. Midnight, Mass. comes from DC, and then there are several other from Marvel to grab. Other than that, peace.
